UNIQUE BUILDINGS
THE CROOKED HOUSE
The Crooked House was built in 2004. It is part of
Rezydent Shopping Centre in Poland. The building
was designed by Szotynscy Zaleski (zo-tin-sey zalen-ski). He was a Polish architect. It is designed to
look like fairytale illustrations. This house has
colourful glass entrances and sandstones-framed
windows which make the building unique. The
roof is designed to look like a dragon.
RIPLEYS BUILDING
The Ripleys Building is also known as the Branson
Museum. It is located in Canada. It was built to
reflect the 1812 Missouri earthquake. The
cracks are the unique features of the structure. It
gives the impression that it has just survived an

earthquake.
THE BASKET BUILDING
This building is located in Ohio, United States. It is
owned by Dave Longaberger who is in the
business of selling baskets. This building has
seven floors and resembles a giant basket. There
are two basket handles attached to the building.
The handles are heated during winter to prevent
ice from forming.
THE ELEPHANT TOWER.
The Elephant Tower is the famous landmark in
Bangkok, Thailand. It resembles an elephant
which is a symbol of Thai culture. Its ears are
actually glass-enclosed balconies. Its eyes are
huge windows. The tusks are the management
offices.
