Introduction
Nowadays, business establishment are fast approaching that are just anywhere. It helps
the economy to improve the economic value. With the help of technology, businesses can be
accessed online that you can select product wherever you are.
The Milven General Merchandise is an establishment that is located at Brgy. San Jose,
City of Koronadal. They started in a small stall with a capital of P 40,000 as a beginner. They
started with a small amount of bolts from smaller to bigger. With their small stall they
already have a complete product for hardware and construction supply. There mode of
transportation is just a top-down that can deliver materials in customers home.
1.1. Current State of Technology/ Background of the Study
The Milven General Merchandise is a business establishment that sells hardware
and construction materials for almost 9 years. In their business, they are using a manual
system in conducting a transaction and inventory as well as in monitoring there products.
With these manual process they encounter problems such as duplication of receipts that
were kept in their private envelope, theyre not updated of the stocks left in the stock
room. They cannot determine the person who issue the receipt. They cannot easily
determine the price of the product. In calculating their sales report because they are
going to search the receipts from their envelope where in it takes time to compute.
1.2. Project Objectives
1.2.1. General Objectives
The main objective of these study is to help the company with a fast and
accurate transaction.
1.2.2. Specific Objectives
The study aims the following:
Notify the owner when the stocks is less than 10.
Design an interface to easily search the products name with its
corresponding price.
Provide a secured storage database for the information of the
guarantor name.
Generate report such as:
o Weekly, monthly and annual sales reports
o List of materials needed to buy
o List of frequent customers
