Illinois State University groups ISU Pride, Women and Gender Studies, Diversity at State and Wellness at Illinois State are hosting Sex Week, an informational week filled with activities and programs aimed to answer questions on various topics such as relationships, sexual assault, LGBTQ awareness and identity. A screening of "The Hunting Grounds", a QUEERtalks on scholarships in the LGBTQ community and an educational brunch on Ace identity are just some of the activities which have already been held on campus, but there are still two more events which are free and open to the public. On Thursday, Sex Week will feature "Lunch n Learn" in Vrooman room 107, which will cover consent, identity traits of healthy relationships and the sexual resources available on campus. This event is promoted by Health Promotion and Wellness and begins at 12:30 p.m. Sex Week will go out with a bang on Friday evening at the Gender Galleries Drag Show held at University Galleries. The theme of this drag show is high school and will feature performers such as Auntie Heroine, BDazzle and XO. The show will run from 7-9 p.m. Students are encouraged to attend as many events as possible to learn about the important topics at hand. Going to events puts you in the running for prizes as well, which will be handed out at the Gender Galleries Drag Show on Friday evening.
