High Efficiency COLDFET Transmitters
The new Green RF Collection are designed to operate between 87 -108 MHz frequency
range for FM radio broadcasting appliances with RF output power completely adjustable from 0 to 30-60-100-150-300-500-1000-2000-3000-5000, ideal as stand-alone
transmitter or versatile exciter for power amplifiers.
GREEN RF technology combined with COLD FET technology. Latest evolution of the revolutionary technology, patented
Internationally by COLD FET, use last generation LDMOS, optimize the output matching obtaining broadband amplification
stages without using RF discrete components. The main advantages of this technology are:
Ultra High RF efficiency
Lower heating
Higher devices safety
Higher total reliability
Lower AC power consumption
Ultra High Efficiency.
STEREO GENERATOR: Digital Stereo Generator(optional). High performance built-in digital stereo coder with stereo
separation>65dB and signal/noise ratio >85dB assures the highest audio quality.
Top quality sound. The generated FM signal is characterized by an excellent signal/noise ratio and by negligible residualAM and
FM. . All this guarantees the best quality of the broadcast signal
AES/EBU digital interface (optional). Standard AES/EBU digital stereo audio interface available as option.
Deviation limiter. Limits the maximum frequency deviation to a value within the international requirements. This is to avoid
adjacent channels invasion in case of accidental over modulation
Control of the transmission and modulation parameters from the frontal panel display.
Frequency Agile: PF series instant LCD front panel frequency programmability with 10 KHz steps assures anagile frequency
setting without any tuning or adjustment. (Standard for TF series exciter, optional for otherseries exciters).
High frequency stability. In short and long terms is assured by Digital Phase Locked Loop circuit with low drift quartz.
Broadband. No tuning or adjustments required. The output frequency can be easily changed in all the range from the front LCD
panel without any other adjustment.
TCP/IP Remote control WEB Server/SNMP remote control system.
USB port. For direct pc o modem connection and remote control ready.
Electronic protections. In case of over-voltage or transmitting frequency error (LOCK) or mismatching (VSWR) or
over-temperature (TEMP) the power output is automatically reduced to keep your station on the air. Every alarm event is
displayed on the frontal panel.
Optional. Digital input AES/EBU. External reference oscillator (10 Mhz input SMA 0dBm).
Modular design. The modular internal construction of the TF transmitters/exciters widely simplify themaintenance with easy
identification of the modules and reduced number of interconnections among them.Switching mode power supply. High
efficiency and oversized switching mode power supply gives greaterreliability and reduced consumption.
Compact size and reduced weight. The TF series are characterized by very small dimensions and very low weight,
reducingtransportation costs and simplifying the logistic.
External reference oscillator: 10 MHz input SMA 0 dBm.
N+1 facility (optional).N+1 facility control available to modify remotely the frequency and power output for redundant systems.
Uninterrupted service. An intelligent protection circuit reduces the output power without any on-air interruption, keeping the RF
devices always within the safe operating parameters in the event of:
Load mismatching
Environmental over-temperature
Cooling failure
Failure in one or more amplification modules
Failure in power supply modules
Switch-mode power supply with power factor control. Highly efficient and widely over-rated power supply modules insure low
heating, low AC power consumption and superior reliability. The power factor control circuitry allows to meet all the international requirements for mains network disturbances.
High efficiency cooling system. The air cooling system limits the heatsink temperature rise to only 10C above ambient
temperature. This assures the transmitter to be able to properly operate even in high ambient temperature sites with hard
climate conditions.
Reduced maintenance. Easy accessibility of all parts, external serviceable cooling air filters, very high MTBF for RF and power
supply modules, are only some of the characteristics that explain the very high reduction of maintenance costs obtained.
Meets or exceeds the international standards for safety and electrical specifications.
