COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Course Title: ME LAW, ETHICS, CODES AND STANDARDS


Course Description: The course deals with the study of the Mechanical Engineering law, code of ethics, ethical theories, and ethical issues in
the practice of engineering. Familiarization with the technical codes and standards are included
Learner Description:

Learners of this course are 5th year Mechanical Engineering students who have passed orientation to ME.

Course Objectives:
After completing this course, the student must be able to:

1. Know the existing laws and ethical standards affecting the practice of the mechanical engineering profession.
2. Develop the skills of applying the codes to every mechanical engineering design.
3. Develop a sense of professional and ethical responsibility
