PRAGATI MAIDAN, NEW DELHI

Pragati Maidan is a venue for large exhibitions


and conventions in New Delhi. It and has 18 halls,
22 permanent pavilions, covered space of 130,000
square meters and an open area of 180,000 square
meters.
It is owned and managed by Indian Trade
Promotion Organization (ITPO), the premier trade
promotion agency of the Ministry of Commerce
and Industry, Govt. of India.

MACRO LEVEL:
1) Open built relation

The site is spread over an area of 138,000 sq.m. It has several structures and equal green
open areas as landscape and for recreation.
The western side of the site is occupied by defense buildings and offices, while the
Yamuna river banks lie on the eastern side.

2) Traffic Movement
The entire exhibition complex/site is flanked by roads on all its sides.

On its West is the Mathura Road that practically connects the North and South and leads
to the Asian Highway 44 which runs through Chandigarh in the North to Faridabad in the
South.

The intersection of major roads Connecting N-S and E-W lies to the North of the site.
This intersection is usually heavily trafficked.
