Course Description:
This course is focus on the integration of four basic skills such as speaking, listening,
reading and writing including language aspect grammar and vocabulary related to nursing
and its clinical practices as well as other health terminologies. After completing the course,
the students are expected to have good ability to communicate in English for health care
use. In classroom setting, the students are required to have pair conversation, group
discussion, role-play, and individual work. The classroom activities will emphasize more
independence and active participation of the students.
Course Goal
Prospective nurses will be able to communicate their ideas / arguments/ work or innovative
works in English that are useful for nursing professional development and entrepreneurship,
scientifically and ethically accounted.
The objective of this course to enable the student to:

Reading clinical instructions and medical record appropriately

Listening daily conversation and understanding instruction in nursing practices

Building direct conversation with the patients, family and other health professionals
in terms of simulation

Writing a nursing care documentation and health reports by using simulation case

Evaluation
The final grade for this course is based on the following aspects:
a. Project Score (Task 1)

: 15 %

c. Mid and Final Test Score

: 50 %

d. Assignment (task 2)

: 15%

e. Tutorial score

: 20 %
