STORY LINE
Bro. Bolus family and Kachans family (one lukewarm, the other purportedly Christian)
whose lifestyles preach the opposite of what they
claim to stand for are seen in a
situation where they need to demonstrate the proof of their belief.
Bro. Bolus wife a truly practicing child of God brings up her two children, Tolani and
Tolu in the way of the Lord. She and her children, Tolani and Tolu empty their lives for the
sake of the Gospel (witnessing to their Cook, Gateman, Teacher and Colleague at school).
The husband on the other hand trusts more in his ministry of influence and money than
practical Christian living and was graced with a glimpse of heaven, if he were to meet his
Lord and Master in his current state of living; but was given another chance to amend his
ways.
Bro. Kachan, a backsliding Christian attempted a little romance with sin, but was restored back to
Christ by Tolani, his office assistant, when he tried to woo her. Meanwhile, his wife loses her
money to robbers as a reward of her unfaithfulness to God. She fainted and was thereafter
graced with a glimpse of heaven, which changed her entire life.
The Trinity (The Godhead, The Righteous One and The Comforter) laments the
lackadaisical attitude of the called and the elect for whom Christ laid down his life for
their salvation; wishing they could be more proactive in the work of evangelism. They
deliberate on the need to wind up the syllabus of the world but Christ, the Righteous
One intercedes and pleads for a little more time. The Comforter is mandated to intensify
the job of quickening the hearts of men: using echoes of messages from past Martyrs,
lessons from contemporary tribulations, as well as willing Christians who would engage in
deliberate witnessing.
OUTLINE FOR THE PLAYLET
Scene One: Bro Bolus family of four in devotion, in preparation for the days work. Tolu
and Tolani were actively participating. Tolu engaged his father on the need to witness to
their domestic staff at home whilst the daddy rebuked him. They dispersed for household
chores after devotion.
Scene 2: At Bro Bolus office, Tina attempts to seduce him but he resists amid personal
struggle.
Scene 3: Tolus witnessing activities at School and how he was able to persuade his teacher and
friends on Godly living.
Scene 4: The domestic staff of Bro Bolus family criticizes the lifestyle of Bro Bolus
unrealistic Christian life (his high handedness at home, his holier than thou attitudes,
etc), but they commend the wife and the children. Tolu and his mother began to witness
to the Domestic staff. Scene concludes with hope of conversion for both domestic staff.
Act Two
Scene 1: Mr. Kachan arranges a date with Tolani in the office, against her will. He visits the
restaurant with Tolani , whilst the latter witnesses to him until he confesses his antics to God.
Scene 2: Madam Kachan was seen gisting on phone with her business partner, Chief Onilari,
when armed robbers struck and made away with all her money. She fainted and transited into a
trance: catching a glimpse of heaven.
Act Three
Scene 1: The Trinity reviews the activities of man on earth. Christ intervenes to prevent
immediate destruction of the earth and sends down the Holy Spirit with echoes of warnings from
the martyrs of old.
Scene 2: Mrs. Kachan dreams of heaven and was amazed at her unimpressive reward by the
Trinity even as she was rebuked for unfaithfulness in giving, lateness to church, Luke warmness,
caring little about her home, etc.
Scene 3:
pastor.
Mrs. Kachan recovers from her trance and heads for the church to see her
Scene 4: Pastor Jones was led to challenge the church on giving and on witnessing. He
challenged on unfaithfulness in tithing and in handling the Great Commission. He made
an altar call and Mrs. Kachan and Bro Bolu came forth. After the service, Bro. Bolu gave a
fat offering towards evangelism whilst Mrs. Kachan narrated her ordeal with armed
robbers whilst confessing her unfaithfulness in tithing. The Pastor challenged both,
especially Bro Bolu on deliberate witnessing.
Epilogue Prophet Gbelegbo was seen passing through the audience, challenging them
on.the mind of Christ and the revelations from the Throne of Heaven. He echoes the
warnings of the Prophets of old even as he warns of impending dangers of the End
Time even as all actors freeze on stage
============= End ===============
Prologue
Prophet Gbelegbo: (In a morning cry outfit passing through the audience)
See, I will send my messenger who will prepare the way before me. Then
suddenly, the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the
covenant, whom you desire, will come, Says the Lord Almighty.
But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For
he will be like a refiners fire or a launderers soap. He will sit as refiner and purifier
of silver, he will purify the Levites and refine then like gold and silver. Then the
Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousnessas in days gone by, in
former years.
So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers,
adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud labourers their wages, who
oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not
fear me, says the Lord Almighty.
Act One
Scene 1
(Devotion at Bro. Bolus residence. After the usual chorus, Mrs. Bolu leads the
devotional reading)
Mrs. Bolu: Our devotional reading today is taken from Luke 9:23-27
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his
cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to
gain the whole world and yet lose or forfeit his very self. If anyone is
ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him
when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy
angels.
The Scriptures we have just read challenges us on the need to prepare for
our heavenly home by living consciously in Gods presence. We are
admonished to make a daily sacrifice of our life for Christ and seek the
lost souls. Does anybody have any question?
Tolani: Yes mummy. What does the Bible mean by whoever wants to save his life
will lose it?
Tolu: You mean you dont know? You should have read the complete statement
now. The second part of it says but whoever loses his life for me will save it. It
means that anyone who attempts to be wise in his own ways by failing to do
Gods will, because of the desire to preserve his life will eventually lose it
eternally.
2
Tolani: But how then can one lose his life for Gods sake? Does it mean we have
to go and offer ourselves to Boko Haram as sacrifice in defence of Gods work?
Mrs. Bolu: No children. That would be stupid. What the Scriptures mean in that
passage is that we should endeavour to obey the Lord in all things, without fear or
favour, most especially in the face of persecution. Just as Revelations 12:11 says:
they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their
testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink of death.
Bro Bolu: (Getting impatient as he looks at his wrist watch for time, beginning to
pace up and down the salon). Look here, madam, dont start another session of
preaching this morning. You know the time is far spent and we have to leave early
for work because of the traffic jam. You can reserve the sermon for the Pastors on
Sunday. Let us hurry up and round up quickly, please.
Mrs. Bolu: I am sorry dear. Just feel we should remind ourselves that, as you can
see in verse 26 of our passage of this morning, what is dearest to the heart of God
is soul winning. Learn to do this anywhere, everywhere and to anyone that cares
to listen. It shall be well with us in Jesus name.
Tolu: If soul winning is dearest to the heart of God, how come, Daddy, that you do
not allow your driver or your cook to follow us to the Church?
Bro Bolu: No Tolu, Malik is a Muslim; its an abomination for him to enter a
church. And Esther my cook will not have time because she has to cook and clean
the house before our arrival from the church.
Tolu: But dad, you still have to speak to them about Christ? A Muslim can be
converted.
Bro Bolu: (Laughs) Tolu, you are too young to understand. You see, their heart is
hardened.
Tolu: I still feel it does not justify your refusal to speak to them about Christ,
whether they are Muslims or not.
Bro Bolu: Well, its a waste of time and energy. Dont forget he has this bad habit
of smoking that will result to a fruitless effort.
Tolu: But Dad, the Bible says and how shall they believe in him of whom they
have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Bro Bolu: You are right my son. You too can preach to them. Remember that even
Jesus Christ became a preacher at the age 13, when he was a Teenager like you.
Tolu: Yes I know dad.
Bro Bolu: One more thing, Tolu, dont always forget that I am their employer. I
might lose my respect and reputation if I preach to them.
Tolani: But Dad, the Lord neither talked about His reputation nor did He place
Himself high when he was busy doing His fathers work.
Bro Bolu: You guys dont seem to understand. See, time is also not my friend. Im
always busy at work. Besides, you know the various roles I play in church
activities. Moreover, I am never lacking in giving fat sums of money to the church
from the proceeds of my business. So, where do you want me to get the time to
be talking to these riff raffs? That is why the church employed the likes of Rev.
Babalola. Please don't allow this matter to bother you. Let's us pray. (He hurriedly
prays and they all make out for the days work).
3
Scene 2
( Bro Bolus Office. Malik brings Bro. Bolus bag into the office, with a stick of cigarette)
(Soliloquizing) What on earth does she take me for? Jesus has to hasten in His
coming because iniquities abounds the whole world. Just imagine, my own
secretary trying to lure me into sin? Impossible!
And she says she goes to church. I am sure she is yet to be saved?...Maybe I
should talk to her about Christ...hmmmm.hell NO! I am her boss for Gods sake.
I dont want such familiarity before I lose my respect.
Scene 3
(Tolus Classroom. Teacher comes in)
make noise as she picks) Hellogood morning.Oh sorry, please I am not in school
today. I am in the hospital to see a doctor because I am very ill. In fact, the doctor just
informed me that I will be admitted for 5days. Please bear with me till next week before
I can pay your moneyOk, thank you so much. Bye (She hangs up).
Felix: Excuse me Ma, Please I did my homework but I forgot my book at home.
Teacher: You are such a pathetic liar. I am very sure you did not do your
homework. You better do not allow such to repeat itself else, you'll be punished.
Felix: I am sorry Ma.
Teacher: Okay. You are pardoned for today.
(Felix runs back to his seat to gist Tolu of his escapade, even as the teacher announces that it was
break time)
======================================================
(Tolu prays with him and they both head to go for their break. As they were about
to go out, Tolu pauses for a while, excuses himself from Felix as he announces
that he needs to see the Teacher)
=================================================
Tolu: Good afternoon ma. Please ma, I will like to see you.
Teacher: Good afternoon Tolu, are you through with your break?
Tolu: (looking dejected). No ma.
Teacher: (Sees that Tolu is unhappy) You look troubled and unhappy. Are you
alright? You look downcast. Are you sick?
Tolu: No ma, I am not sick ma. But I am not so happy because my friend is
grieving about you, saying that you do not want to be his friend.
Teacher: Your friend? My friend? Which of my friends reported me to you?
Tolu: Not your friend ma, but my own friend reported you to me.
Teacher: I see. Alright, call me that Felix of a boy and I will deal with him today.
Tolu: Not Felix ma. Its not about Felix. I just need to confirm something from you.
Teacher: And what is it, if I may ask?
Tolu: Please ma, are truly you sick?
Teacher: No, why did you ask?
Tolu: Because I heard you telling someone over the phone that you're very sick,
and that you are in the hospital and
Teacher: Oh that! (She frowns) And how is that your problem?
Tolu: But ma, that wasn't right.
Teacher: (She shouts in annoyance) Shut up!!! How dare you confront me that
way? Are you out of your mind?
Tolu: I am sorry ma. But someone is grieving because of what you said
Teacher: Someone..? (raises her voice) Who? (She stirs sternly at Tolu as she
awaits his answer)
Tolu: (Dreads the Teachers move and fearfully points somewhere up, towards the
sky)
Teacher: What is the meaning of that? Cant you talk?
Tolu: (Tears rolling down his cheeks) He grieves when you lied on phone. He says
He wants to be your friend the Holy Spirit
Teacher: (Now sober and remorseful) Oh I see. Tolu. You won't understand.
Tolu: Please ma. I will like to understand Ma.
Teacher: Ok, I hope if I tell you, you will cheer up? (Tolu nods Yes) See, lets just
sayI owe a friend and do not have money to pay now until month end. So I had
to cook up a story that I was in the hospital so she can have pity and not bother
me again.
Tolu: Okay now I see. But ma, do you know that you are not only a debtor to
your friend after the cooked up story?
6
(She frowns as she raises her head. Tolu cringes and quickly tells her)
It is not me that said so Ma, it is Romans 6:16 that said so and verse 23 says,
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord..
Teacher: Are you saying that because I lied, I have fallen short of Gods glory that
was supposed to cover my shame of the debt I owed my friend?
Tolu: Yes ma. See ma, when we cook up story, the Bible says we are at a risk,
but when you dont, your gift from God is eternal life. I don't want you to fall short
of God's glory. God's glory is a covering, he covers our nakedness, shame,
wretchedness and our sinful nature.
Teacher: (Pauses) Tolu, I always try to find ways to escape issues like this. I do
not want to be a slave to nothing, persons or situations
Tolu: Yes, that is why you need the power of the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, to
keep you from sinning. Romans 8 vs 5 -8 "For those who live according to the flesh set
their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the
things of the Spirit. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God".
Teacher: So what do I need to do now, for the Holy Spirit to become my friend?
Tolu: All you need do is to ask for His forgiveness. He is ready to forgive you and
cleanse. If you will allow Him, the Holy Spirit of God will help you to speak the
truth at all times.
Teacher: Thank you Tolu. I want the Holy Spirit to help me speak the truth? How
can I surrender totally to Jesus Christ?
Tolu: Firstly, you need to confess Jesus as your Lord and savior, confess your sin
to God, ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you. Then the Holy Spirit of God will
become your friend and come into your life today. Please let us pray (Tolu prays
with his teacher)
Scene 4
(Mrs. Bolu witnesses to Esther and Malik)
Mrs. Bolu: Esther! Malik! Malik!!, Where are you? Come and take your food.
Malik & Esther: Good afternoon ma and welcome back. Thank you for the food
ma.
Mrs. Bolu: You are welcome. Please I will like to see both of you after your meal.
Malik & Esther: Okay madam. We shall come.
Esther: Na wetin oga madam wan see us for?
Malik: How you wan make I know? I be witch?
Esther: Well, I know say e not go be anything very serious. You know say madam na nice
woman. She dey behave like true Christian.
Malik: Na wa for this oga madam o. She no dey treat us as servants at all. She dey
always see us as im children. In fact, she just dey do us like say e be our mama.
7
Esther: In fact, na the thing wey I wan talk you just commot from my mouth so. She no
be like her husband at all. That one no care about anybody.
Malik: Na so so work e sabi. No care for our welfare. I beg make I smoke one stick
of cigarette before we go see am.
Mrs. Bolu: ( shows up unexpectedly as she meets Malik and Esther in an uncompromising
way, with Malik smoking. Esther and Malik express shock. They both tried to cover up )
Mrs. Bolu: I know you are surprised to see me. Just relax yourselves. I came to speak
to Malik but I am happy I found both of you together, which makes it easier for me.
Calvary for you and for me. He wants you to surrender your life totally to Him because He
does not want any of His children to perish.
Malik: Hahaha!!! Oga Madam, so you forget say me I be Muslim? In fact my family go
disown me if I follow you to church.
Mrs Bolu: I know that Malik. But being a Muslim does not mean that you are not a child
of God, whether Christian, Muslim or an Idol worshipper. We are all made by Gods own
image and He does not want any of us to perish.
Malik: Ehn ehn, so Muslim, Gods Image? Christian, Gods image? Even Babalawo. Na wa
for this your God o.
Mrs. Bolu: Yes Malik. He loves everybody equally. So Esther what about you?
Have you surrendered your life to Christ?
Esther: (she smiles) Madam, that one is not a problem. You know that I am still
searching for a husband and as such, I may still be falling into some small sins.
Mrs. Bolu: Esther, that is not an excuse before God whether married or single.
The Bible says in Romans 6:1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that
grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live
in it any longer?. Also 1 Corinthians 6:19, says Do you not know that your bodies are
temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are
not your own. So Esther and Malik, please dont postpone your salvation. The next
Thank you. My oga don dey call me. Him don ready for work be that. (Bro Bolu calls out
loud again) Sir!!!!! (Leaves hurriedly)
Mrs. Bolu: No wahala. I go call you later for phone.
Malik: Thank you ma. Wallahi me I go think am over and over again.
Esther: Me too, I go think over the matter ma. Thank you ma.
Exit)

Act Two
Scene 1
(At Mr. Kachans office. Mr. Kachan meets Tolani on her way out of the office to observe her lunch
break.)
Kachan: Oh no! So how do I get this mess off my shirt? My wife will not be happy
if she sees this. She will know I had a date with a woman
Tolani: But sir, this stain you is just a little
Kachan: How can you say its a little stain? Cant you see its so obvious and
cant be hidden from my wife?
Tolani: Sir, this is similar to God and man. When we commit sin, God is not happy.
No matter how little it may be. It is not hidden. It is a message for you and me.
That God wants you to shun anything that will bring stain into your life. He loves
you and wants you to surrender to Him.
Kachan: Tolani, youve really touched me with your little sermon. If I cant
condone such stain because my wife will not be happy, then God will also not be
happy when I sin no matter how little.
Tolani: Yes Sir.
Kachan: Tolani, God has used you to save my soul from the bondage of sin. Now I
realize my fault. Please ask God to forgive me. Pray for me Tolani
Tolani: Praise the Lord!!! Father I give you all the glory for using this opportunity
to save my boss. Thank you Lord Jesus. In Jesus name. Amen
Scene 2
(At Mr. Kachans home, Mrs. Kachan is on the phone discussing her business with her partner
oblivious that some armed robbers were heaves dropping on her conversation, and soon they
struck)
Madam: (Goes in and gives the money to him) Please Sir, this money is all my lifes
investment
Sororo: (He mimics her) Hahahaha and who cares? Cool cash. Now we too can
invest. Let me advise you, womanbe your brothers keeper.
Madam: Brothers keeper? Not like this now.
Serpent: (Angrily) Oga Sororo, she still dey talk. Abi make I scatter her medulla
oblongata?
Madam: (screams) Noooo! Pleaseeee!! Jesus !!!
Sororo: Guys, no more time to waste time. Lets go before those wise men arrive.
Madam: Oh Jesus Christ, I am finished! All my investment is gone! Who is doing
this to me ooowho has done this to me? Who has betrayed me? EwooooOle
thief, Help! Help! Help!
(Mrs. Kachan passes out in a trance, at one side of the stage)
Act Three
Scene 1
(The throne of the Most High with Jesus, Holy Spirit and the Angels in attendance )
Godhead: Son, I am aggrieved. What a world, what a shame? The wickedness of man is
so great on the earth, and his thoughts are continually evil. Oh, how I grieve in my heart
that I have made man on the earth.
Please Father, give them a little more time. Be mercifuland hold back your
anger. Let us give them yet another chance. Comforter ! Please go and show to
my daughter, Mrs Kachan a glimpse of the deliberations at the throne of mercy
(Mrs. Kachan is seen lying lifeless on one side of the stage where she had been since the shock
of armed robbery in her house. She is now in a trance)
=========================
Comforter: Righteous One, I have brought here one of the busiest and service
loving Christians on earth. Mr. Bolu is not only a Sunday School teacher, he is
active in all church activities and always to the church needs.
I am relaying this vision to my daughter, Mrs. Kachan, so she may have a glimpse
of our perception of activities of Christian Pilgrims on earth, especially where they
are oblivious of the will of the Trinity.
Righteous One: Has she won any soul ever since her conversion?
Comforter: Not once Righteous One. However, I have the report of two other
Christians Mr. Bolu and his son, Tolu , whose life may serve as a lesson to her.
Righteous One: Please present them to me before the Godhead
Comforter: Mr. Bolu, you may rise up to account before your Lord.
Bro. Bolu: My Lord, I am Bolu, a Sunday School Teacher and a devoted Christian in
Ikoyi Baptist Church. I attend all church activities, give to the poor and I am one of the
backbone givers to the Church Pastor. In fact, I contributed more than 25% of the cost of
the new Church Building. Therefore, my Lord, I am cruising fine for you on earth and as
such I am not afraid of receiving the reward of my good work.
Righteous One: Comforter, please open his trinket for him and show him his
treasures.
Bro. Bolu: What? There must have been a mistake here! This cannot be my
treasure after I all my activities in church. Where is the reward of the huge sums
of money I give to the work of mission and evangelism. Besides that , my Lord, I
don't indulge in any sin; not even one!. To buttress it all, I pay my tithes and give
to charity. So what could have happened to my treasures?
Righteous One: My son, all your self-righteousness are like filthy rags before
God. Your righteousness is incomplete without complete obedience to my
commands. Remember that the Book of 1 Corinthians 3:12-14 says,
"Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay,
straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be
revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's
work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.
Bro Bolu: But Lord, I gave my riches to the poor. I was particularly instrumental
to the engagement of Rev. Babalola who the church pays to do the work of
evangelism. I also donate a lot of money to missions and evangelism. Will all
these not be rewarded?
Righteous One: My son, remember what the Scriptures say in Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it
is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast
You sealed your lips when it mattered most. You were ashamed of revealing me to
others, because of your ego; therefore you disobeyed the Great Commission!
Bro Bolu: Oh no! So all I have is an empty treasury. What is now my lot? What is my
gain? Where do I stand?
Righteous One: Son, I have weighed entire lifestyle and they amount to mere
movement without motion. I know your works and understand the motive of your
activities. Even the unbelievers live a similarly pius lifestyle as you do. But one critical
thing is left undone: you have not won a single soul into my kingdom! You neglected the
12
belong the kingdom of your father. If we were to close the chapter of your
pilgrimage on earth at this moment, you will enter into the joy of your Lord. Now I
charge you, do not relent in doing the work of an evangelist. Rescue the perishing, care
for the dying. Share the good news that I await them in my kingdom with lots of eternal
treasures.
Bro. Bolu: But Lord, that is my son. I gave birth to him and taught him about you.
I led him to Christ. How come you are rewarding him greater than myself?
Godhead: (Addressing the Righteous One and the Comforter)
Righteous one, where are the saints you promised me? Where are the CALLED you sent to
preach the gospel and win lost souls into My Kingdom? They are all in a slumber. The only
cry I hear today is for material wealth and self-actualization, not for lost souls anymore.
Do You both see why I grieve for man that I have created in my own image? The
kingdom of darkness has possessed many souls of my beloved children. And Satan, the
ruler of the world is manipulating the world with deception; fostering the spirit of
disobedience, lying, cheating, killing and all kinds of atrocities into their lives. My people
perish daily. Now, SON, I charge Yourself and the Comforter for the very last bit of time, to
bring to their remembrance what they ought to be doing before I spill them out of my
mouth in anger
Righteous One & The Comforter: (Bowing to the Godhead) Thy will be done
Righteous One: My Son, Bolu, the Lord does not look at the things that man
looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.
Remember that the Scriptures say in 2 Chronicles 16:9 for the eyes of the Lord
range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed
to him Now Mrs. Kachan and Bolu, I charge you to go and do just as I have
commanded you. Goooo!
================================
(Mrs. Kachan wakes up from her trance)
Mrs. Kachan: Oh my God! Oh, my God! Where am I? Yea, I am finished. Am I dreaming?
Armed robbersMy money.! Comforter? Mr. Bolu? What is happening to me? (She
beats her body to be sure she is still alive) Oh my God! I must see the Pastor immediately.
This is a great and disturbing vision. ( Obviously shaken by fear, she kneels to pray) Oh
Lord, have mercy on me. Have mercy on my soul. So I have been deceiving myself all
along. I have been unfaithful to the great commission. Please Lord, have mercy on me.
In Jesus name I pray.
(She hurriedly leaves the stage in preparation for the church.)
Scene 2
(A Church scene)
Pastor: And so the Lord speaks to us today. For the Bible says in Romans 10:13-
15
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then can
they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the
13
one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone
preaching to them? And how cn they preach unless they are sent ?
Brethren, the Master depends on us to accomplish this task. You have been sent
to doyour Saviours bidding. Do not mind your class or status in the society:
whether rich or poor, high or low, young or old. The Lord depends on you today.
Again, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:3-5
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of
this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of
the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God. For we do not preach
ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord
Christ is asking us today: who shall deliver my people from the bondage of
sin? He Does not wish that any man should perish but for all to come to
repentance. The Lord wants us all to witness to the world. He shall strengthen us
for He whom He calls He equips hallelujah, hallelujah.
Therefore, as we sing the close this message, if anyone wants to rededicate his
life to Christ, let him signify by raising up his/her hand and take a step of faith
forward.
(Mr. & Mrs. Kachan, Bro Bolu, Malik, Esther and Tina all step out to the altar as the church
sings the closing hymn: Must I go an empty handed? The Pastor is seen praying for
then when the Prophet Gbelegbo makes his entrance to the scene from the audience. All
actors freeze on stage as Prophet Gbelegbos voice is heard ).
EPILOGUE
Prophet Gbelegbo: (Malachi 3:6 4:3)
I the Lord do not change, so you, O descendants of Jacob are not
destroyed. Ever from the time of your forefathers, you have turned away
from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to
you , says the Lord Almighty.
Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other and the Lord
listened and heard
They will be mine, says the Lord Almighty. In the day when I make up my
treasured possession, I will spare them just as in compassion a man spares
his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the
righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do
not.
Surely, the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and
every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on
fire, says the Lord Almighty.
Not a root or branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name,
the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go
out and leap like calves released from the stall. Then you will trample down
the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when
I do these things says the Lord Almighty.
The End
