INTEGRAL SODIUM TYPE SOI/H

O s r a m integral jacket s o d i u m l a m p s represent an advance in discharge t u b e design.
Capable of directly replacing t h e well-known detachable jacket type, these l a m p s are even
more efficient. The
new
large-bore arc tube enables a lower current density to
be
e m p l o y e d , as heat losses by radiation are m i n i m i s e d by t h e use of concentric shields to
e n c l o s e t h e a r c t u b e . T h e c o m p l e t e a s s e m b l y is h e l d w i t h i n t h e o u t e r e x h a u s t e d e n v e l o p e
by a resilient m o u n t i n g . The integral construction reduces t h e n u m b e r of vulnerable glass
surfaces and presents no dead air space to trap moisture and dust.
Integral lamps are
n o t a f f e c t e d by c o n d i t i o n s of h i g h h u m i d i t y , e n s u r i n g reliable s t a r t i n g t h r o u g h o u t life.
