solution.

3. Solution Overview
3.1

Employees Name Format (Infotype 0002)

3.1.1. In the new country version of Qatar, SAP provides 2 groups of name fields,
Name in Arabic and Name in English.

3.1.2. SAP delivered 2 standard name formats, with which you can specify which group
of name should be used as employees Major Name. In additional to standard
formats, you can also define your own formats based on your business
requirement.
00 Name in English: First + Second + Third + Last Name.
01 Name in Arabic: First + Second + Third + Last Name.

3.1.3. For example, you specify the name format 01, the name is read from Name in
Arabic. And system will transform the name into upper case automatically.

3.1.4 How to define your own name format?

c. You have 2 options to define your name formats:

i. Customizing existing entries, e.g., you can delete the NABIR (Second
Name) and NICKR (Third Name), then in IT0002, only First + Last Name
will be read.

Then, on the infotype 0002 maintenance screen, the new name is

changed:

ii. Create new format, e.g. 03 First Name.

Notice: the new name format must be under the format ID 1.

Then, in infotype 0002 maintenance screen, you can find the new name
format.

3.1.5 How to customize the special name format in your reports (or in other applications)?
Lets take an example to illustrate the process of the configuration.
Business Scenario:
In report HQAPIOD0, you only need to report the first name of employee. So, you
need take the following customizing steps:
a. Define your own name format in IMG under the path:
Personnel Management Personnel Administration Personal Data Name

Create the new entry as figured below:

Format 3: the format here is something like the Group ID, which is used to
separate each group of name configuration. No business meaning. In this
case, we use 3.
Name Form. 01: this is the name format you specified in IT0002.
Field Name FNAMR: this is the first name in name group English in Arabic
b. Assign the new format to the report HQAPIOD0, under the IMG path:

Here, we specify the format 3.

c. Run the report, in the output ALV list, now, only the first name of EEs Arabic
name is displayed:

Employee Dependents Name Format (Infotype 0021)

The process of how to customize employee dependents name format is very similar with
employee him/herself in infotype 0002. So, in this section, only the different points are listed:

3.2.1 Employee dependents name overview:

3.2.2 Name format customizing. (Same IMG path, or directly view maintenance, in TCode: SM30, view: T522F ).
The Arabic Name group of employees dependent is saved in additional infotype 3304
(infotype view), so when customizing the name format, the attribute Alt.Prefix must
be specified with 3304
