4. THE SOLE PLATE CAN BE KEPT IN PLACE WITH FRICTION (NON-BOLTED OPTION). ADDITIONAL FIXITY CAN BE
OBTAINED BY BOLTING THE SIDE TABS INTO THE BEAM STEM (BOLTED OPTION).
5. THE NON-BOLTED OPTION IS THE PREFERRED OPTION. USE OF THE BOLTED OPTION MAY REQUIRE THE DRILLING OF
HOLES IN THE BEAM FORM FOR THE INSERTS.
6. ELASTOMERIC SHIMS MAY BE USED BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF STEM AND TOP OF PLATE ON NON-BOLTED BEARINGS
