Function
An EMUB provides a power input port and can be supplied with -48 V DC power. The voltage can range
from -36 V DC to -72 V DC.
An EMUB can detect input voltage.
An EMUB provides one port to connect a current-type humidity and temperature sensor working in the
voltage of +12 V DC or +24 V DC and the current range of 4 mA to 20 mA. The temperature monitoring
scope of the sensor is from -20C to +80C (-4F to 176F).
An EMUB provides one port for monitoring four different analog signal inputs. If a voltage-type sensor is
connected to the EMUB, the voltage ranges from 0 V to 5 V. If a current-type sensor is connected to the
EMUB, the current ranges from 4 mA to 20 mA.
The input signal type on the EMUB side is set by the DIP switch according to the input signal type set on
the eNodeB side.
An EMUB provides a +24 V DC port to connect a smoke sensor, a +24 V DC or +12 V DC port to connect
a water sensor, a +24 V DC or +12 V DC port to connect an infrared sensor, and a dry contact-type port
to connect a door status sensor. These ports meet the monitoring requirements of the system.
An EMUB provides ports for monitoring 32 Boolean signal inputs of the dry contact type and open
collector (OC) type.
An EMUB provides six output control ports for external Boolean signals of the relay node type.
An EMUB provides two RS-485 ports for the communication between the EMUB and the base station.

Communication Port
The RS485 serial port supports two communication links to the base station and can be installed
with a dedicated port cable with a DB-9 male connector.

Monitoring Ports on the EMUB

An EMUB provides monitoring ports for the water sensor, smoke sensor, infrared sensor, door
status sensor, and humidity and temperature sensor as well as extended monitoring ports for the
input control of Boolean signals and analog signals.

Monitoring Ports for the Water Sensor

The monitoring ports to connect the water sensor are ports for current-type Boolean signal
detection and can be connected to bare wires.
A water sensor supplied with +24 V DC or +12 V DC power input can be connected to the EMUB.
The following figure shows the monitoring ports for the water sensor.
