the limits, how to improve not only my communication with others in general but also to learn new

My proposed workshop/activity in PW 2012 *:
I wish to participate to this course with the view of gaining as much experience as I can in this field of
activities. I consider this course a good opportunity of expresing yourself and not only. I was thinking of
debating the ecological issues of today including the ecological footprint. As I am not prepared enough on
this subject I can not ensure and promise a 100% profesional activity, but I belive that will be an
advantage for everione as we all can expres out thoughts, feelings and ideas not been embarrassed of our
level of preparation on this issue.I have chousen this topic because I belive that if I will try to propose
activities on other topics I wont be as efficient as on this one.

If I will be given the chance to attend this course, I will do my best to gain the experience required for
further activities.I intend to organize activities and make projects on this topics and issues under the

there are many persons in this town and not only, interested in ecological activities or even small courses
about human psychology. . I intend to learn as much as possible during the course so that afte my
returning home I will be able to put into practice all the techniques that I will learn there. With the
experience that I will learn there I could start new projects which will be focused on youth category with
reduced or even young people generally eager to learn new things and make new friends.I also intend to
make new friends as they may be potential partners in future projects.Maybe after interacting and
changing ideas with the rest of the participants to the course future activities will be planed, designed and
proposed.

Please describe your involvement in NGO sector/Human Rights/Education field:

My experience in this area is not very large but I look foreward to achieving training and instructions.
Even so, I did attended and took part to different activities on this topic since I became a Red Cross
volunteer 2 years ago.
Have you ever been involved in any human rights activities/actions? If yes, describe them.:
As mentioned above, my experience in this field of human rights started soon after i became an official
volunteer at Red Cross Constanta (Romania).Since then, I participated to several activitied on topics as:
anti-racism, gender equality, people with disabilities and breast cancer campaign. Most of them were
outdoor activities, games designed with the view of helping integrate these individuals in the local
community or small concerts during which the volunteers gave brochures and leaflets to people on topics
pre-determined and mentioned above.
Have you ever designed and facilitated (worked as a trainer) educational activities for young
people? Please describe what kind of activities and on what topics:
In fact, I am now a coordonator of a new project. The project consists of a one-week camp in which the
participants will learn first aid techniques.Other activities that I have attended are small concerts on
different issues among which: fight against breast cancer and providing moral support for people
suffering from this disease, campaign of notification about cancer and one good example in this case was
a concert with music, dance and theater plays, just before last Christmas within which I was responsible
for raising funds from the audience, money which were donated at the end of the event to the family of a
boy diagnosed with cancer and without the necessary funds for supporting the recovery operation. As well
as that, I have also been present to some anti-racism activities which tried to integrate individuals, no
mater what their nationality, gender, age, disability, financial power or fizic aspect.
Have you ever worked with Non Formal Education methods for Human Rights Education, what
manuals have you used?

Unfortunately, till now I havent had the opportunity to work with such manuals. This course will be my
first time and I am sure that it will be enough time for me to learn properly in order to be trained for the
furure activities.

Please describe your non-formal education background (trainings, seminars, exchanges you
have attended).
My educational background is comprised of:
- a few attendings to some Red Cross seminars with themes such as: Searching for individuals,
Volunteering, Humanitarian values, Sexual education, Communication and Negotiation.May 2011.
- a participation to a program of financial education called Money Sense, the 2011-2012 edition, with
4 modules: The bank, How to do business, The loan file and Life of our own.
- a first aid course under Red Cross tuition and careful guidance, 2011.
- Foundation for Economic Education - Summer Seminar. This is a seminar of approximately 30 hours
of lecture time throughout economic issues, 2011.
- a TIA Information seminar " Accreditation from concept to practice ", AN event on 6 july 2012.
What is your motivation for attending this training course?
My desire to attend this seminar is mainly represented by my wish to improve my skills, to gain
knowledge , learn more about human rights, about their system, legal mechanisms and how can they be
protected, about framework, concepts, theory, and practice.Furthermore, I want to learn how to shape my
attitude toward persons that are affected by the rejection of others because of his disability, nationality,
sex orientation or gender. I intend to learn as much as possible during the course so that afte my returning
home I will be able to put into practice all the techniques that I will learn. I also intend to make new
friends and why not potential partners in future projects addressed to those areas affected by human rights
and their infringement.

What would you like or do you need to learn, understand and experience during this training
course?
I would first like to fully understand what human rights mean and what they imply, where and how to
apply and protect these rights. I would be interested to gain the experience needed for that when I return
back home to be able to sustain for Red Cross classes on this subject so that others could learn about them
too. Also I was planning to make some activities which will involve children with
disabilities.Furthermore, I would be interested to find out more about anti-racism activities and gender
equality.
Are you planning to work with Human Rights Education after this Training Course? What spaces
do you have for that? How will you be able to ensure the follow-up?
If I will be given the chance to attend this seminar, I will do my best to gain the experience required for
further activities.I intend to organize activities and make projects on this topics and issues under the

monitorisation of the organization for which I am an active volunteer, Red Cross Constanta, as I think that
there are many persons in this town and not only, that dont have a proper knowleadge about this
problems. Even more I consider that children with disabilities and even elder persons with this tipe of
suffering deserve a chance to live like a normal individual. As well, people of other nationalities deserve
same treatments as everybody and homosexuals deserve same respect as we receive from people around
us.My ideas consist of educational seminars on this topics, seminars which we can hold at the Red Cross
center, outdoor activities and concerts.
