CoordinationFocus
Toperformprotectivedevicecoordination,youmustbeintheCoordinationfocus.
1.FromtheFilemenu,clickOpenFile.
Tip:IfyouareviewingtheStartPage,youcanclickOpenOnelineinstead.

DynamicCoordinationofCurves
TheEasyPowerTCCwindowsupportsdynamicdraggingofallprotectivedevicecurves.Thisprovidesaneasyandsmooth
interfaceforchangingtheequipmentsettings.

HoverovertherelayR6intheTCCplotuntiladoubleheadedarrowappears,andthendragthecurveupanddown.The
relaytimedialchangesdynamically.Thetooltipindicatesthelatesttimedialsetting.
Note:Relaysettingscanalsobemodiiedthroughtherelaydialogboxbydoubleclickingontherelay.

TCCOnelines
TherearetwoonelinesintheTCCwindow:onelocatedinsidetheTCC,andonelocatedtotheleftoftheTCC.(Wereferto
themastheinsideonelineandleftonelineinthistutorial.)
Theinsideonelinealwaysdisplaysazoomedoutviewoftheleftoneline.ThisprovidesWYSIWYGscreenviewingofthe
printedTCC.Thisinsideonelineboxcanbemovedandresizedasshowninigurebelow.
Intheleftoneline,equipmentitemscanbemoved,draggedormodiiedusingthecommoninterfacetypicaltoall
EasyPoweronelines.Theinsideonelineissimplyapictureoftheleftoneline.
Note:MovesanddragsmadeintheleftTCConelinedonotaffectthemasteronelinecreatedintheDatabaseEdit
focus.

ShortCircuitIntegrationintheTCC
TheTCCwindowisintegrateddirectlywiththeshortcircuitanalysisofEasyPower.FaultcurrentsdisplayontheTCCone
linejustasinthemasteroneline.Inaddition,thesecalculatedshortcircuitcurrentsautomaticallycliptheTCCcurveswhen
speciiedtodosointheTCCOptions.
1.Intheleftoneline,doubleclickSWG4.
ShortcircuitfaultandremotecurrentsdisplayforthefaultonSWG4.Inaddition,theTCCtickmarksandclipping
currentsautomaticallyadjustbasedonthefaultandremotecurrents.

dialogbox.Forexample,typinginnewFunctionIDnamesaddsmultiplefunctioncurvestotherelay.Inthe
Settingstab,therelayInstantaneousandTimeDialsettingsaremodiied.IntheAppearancetab,youcan
changethecurvecolorsandstyles.

NoticethetickmarksandclippingpointsalsoadjustintheTCC.

TCCOptions.IntheTCCOptionsdialogbox,ontheSCControltab,selectUserSpeciied,andthenclick

TheTCCtickmarksandclippingpointsupdatebasedontheuserspeciiedcurrentsineachprotectivedevicedialog
box.Forexample,doubleclickonthebluesolidstatetrip(SST)curve,selecttheShortCircuittab,andnoticethe
userentered22kA.

PrintingtheTCC

WhileintheTCC,click

Print.InthePrintTCCdialogboxselectoneoftheprintoptionsshownbelowandthenclickOK.

TheTCCplotprintsWYSIWYG,orexactlywhatthescreendisplays.Thisprovidestremendousspeedandeaseofusetothe
processofproducingclean,professionalprintouts.

TCCDialogBoxes
Tochangeprotectivedevicesettings,doubleclickonanyTCCcurveoronelineitem.Thisbringsupadialogboxwhich
enablesyoutochangeequipmentsettingsandcurvecharacteristics.
Note:Thefulllistofcable,transformer,andmotorparametersareavailableintheDatabaseEditfocus.Ifyouwant
toviewthesewhileintheTCC,rightclickonthecurveandselectDBInfo.

CreatingandStoringTCCs
TCCsarecreatedbyselectingonelineequipmentandclickingabutton.
1.FromtheWindowbutton,selectProtection1.dez.Thisreactivatesthemainonelinewindow.
2.SelectagroupofitemsbydraggingaboxaroundthemorbyholdingdowntheSHIFTkeywhileclickingthe
individualitems,andthenclick

PlotTCC.AnewTCCwindowappears.

Note:Youcandragthetextboxestodifferentlocationstoimprovereadability.
3.DoubleclickingonanyTCCitemorareadisplaystherelatedtemporarydialogbox.Inthismanner,youcanmodify
TCCcurves,colors,notes,thetitleblock,andotheroptionsasneeded.
4.WhenyouhavecompletedcustomizingtheTCC,clickStoreTCCAs.TypeanamefortheTCC,andthenclickOK.
