Howmuchwateryouintendtopumpisdependentupontheevaporationrateofthe
boilerthepumpwillservice.Asafefigureforanonoffapplicationwouldbe2times
theevaporationrateoftheboiler.Withamodulatinglevelcontrol,afactorof1.3
timestheevaporationrateplusrecirculationisrecommended.
Whatisthedesireddischargepressure?
Whenyoupumpdirectlyintotheboileryouwillneedtoovercomethepressureinthe
boileraswellasanypipinglosses.Youcanchosetherightpumpbylookingatthe
pumpcurvestodeterminewhichwillaccomplishthistask.Shouldyouhavea
modulatingvalveinthedischargeline,theminimumyouwillneedtoaddtothe
boileroperatingpressurewillbe20to25lbs.Makesurethatthepumpcanhandlethe
pressurealongwiththeflowrateneeded.Withanonofflevelcontrolthepumps
shouldbedesignedforthereliefvalvepressure.
WhatistheNPSHornetpositivesuctionheadrequired?
Thisisthelastpieceofinformationthatyouwillneed.Thisistheminimumabsolute
