Catalog Description
This course basically deals with the understanding of a variety of technical engineering drawings as well as the
introduction of using the AutoCAD and BIM tools (Revit). The course focuses on not only the improvement of
freehand sketching skill for engineering drawings but also the graphical interpretation of orthographic
projection
including pictorial views, section views, dimensioning, translation of design instructions in detail, assembly
drawings, construction drawings and so on. And this will place an emphasis on practical learning with regard to

Assessment & Grading Policy

1. Assignments, Homeworks and Quizzes (25%)
There will be a number of assignments and quizzes including additional
homeworks, all of which make 25% in the total course grade.
In principle, students will perform two or three assignments within every class
hours.
All assignments must be submitted during the class hours or before the end of the
class.
Students will take quizzes in theory at least two times during the class hours.
It is extremely important to carry out all assignments on time.
Makeup exams will never be accepted without formal excuse signed from the
head of the department.
Late assignments, homeworks and individual projects will take (-) points in
accordance with delayed days.
2. Individual Projects (5%)
Students should perform individual projects, which are Drafting and AutoCad 3D.
Individual projects will make 5% out of all course marks
3. Attendance (5%)
Students will be taken attendance calls on time, 3:10pm, every class. After
3:15pm, it will be late marks automatically
In the case of Absenteeism and Lateness, (-) points out of total course grade will
be taken
Class(Section) shifting will be strongly prohibited without any exception
Attendance will make 5% out of all course marks
