Working paper that documents fragilty function fitting using maximum likelihood estimation. The tools
provided below implement the mathematics explained in this document.

Available downloads
All of the following tools will produce the same results. They are simply provided to facilltate use of varying software packages.
Excel optimization tool. This Excel file fits fragility functions using the built-in solver function to find a
maximum likelihood fit.
Matlab optimization tool. This Matlab script fits fragility functions using an optimization routine. This set of
files also includes commands for fragility function calibration using the alternate sum of squared errors
approach, to facilitate comparison of the results.
Matlab regression tool. This Matlab script fits fragility functions using Probit regression.
