Flashings complete the large range of building products of ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme for roofs, walls and floors. In our highly efficient production plants we manufacture flashings in accordance with our own
works standard and to meet our customers' specific requirements.

Ordering examples:

Flashings, which are frequently used on structures are proposed as

standard flashings. Their geometry, material thickness and coating are
designed to suit ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme building elements. These
flashings are described in this brochure.
Standard flashings may be ordered by simply quoting a part number,
without the need for a sketch. Unless otherwise stated in the specific
description, they have a length of 6,000 mm.

Special flashings

These are flashings which are produced according to your specification.

You send us a sketch along with your order. Such a sketch should
include complete information on dimensions, angles and coating.
The dimensions indicated on the sketch should always be inside
dimensions. The maximum length that can be produced is 8,000 mm.
Please contact us for production and delivery possibilities, delivery
dates, coatings, colours, minimum purchasing quantities and prices
and please take note of the information on page 31 (possibilities of folding) and page 32 (material available from stock).

If you select coil coated material, please refer to the ThyssenKrupp

Bausysteme colour chart for information on the coating systems and
colours available.
Painting of individual pieces is possible in RAL colours or special
colours. Please contact us for colour shades.
If an identical colour is used for the flashings and for the building elements used for walls and roofs, the coating system selected for the
flashings must be the same as that chosen for these building elements.

The base material

Installation
is steel sheet as per DIN 10 147. It is available in the following versions:
- steel sheet with Z 275 metal coating,
zinc deposit 275 g/m2 on both faces, corrosion protection class I
- steel sheet with GALFAN ZA 255 metal coating, deposit 255 g/m2
on both faces (95% Zn, 5% Al), corrosion protection class I
- steel sheet with Galvalume AZ 185m metal coating, deposit 185 g/m2
on both faces (55% Al, 43.4% Zn, 1.6% Si), corrosion protection class III

If the usual requirements for industrial building are to be met, flashings

can be installed so that they are overlapping.
For this purpose, any folds on flashings must be notched on site.
Overlap joints must be sealed on site by using silicone-based amine
hardening sealing compounds.

Material thickness

Dimensions and tolerances

0.75 mm, unless otherwise provided for in an individual case for structural or design reasons. The standard thickness of 0.75 mm makes
overlapping easier during installation.

Unless otherwise provided for in the drawings, all quoted dimensions of

our standard flashings are inside dimensions.
- The tolerances are 2 mm for the cross section
(up to 2 mm material thickness)
- Structural, load-bearing flashings muste be made at least from S280GD
- Thickness tolerances correspond to those of the base material, in
accordance with DIN EN 10 143. For lower limit deviations, however,
only half the values indicated in table 2 are applicable.
