beneiting from a redesign – while Siri has inally
welcomed third-party integration. But the biggest
boost has come in the shape of Android-style
widgets, which let you peek into your top apps
from the Home and Lock screens. Our Apple
mobile devices just got cleverer, so make sure

Add favourites
Using the FaceTime app is similar, in practice,
to using the Phone app. You can make calls,
interact with callers, respond to the Recent
list of missed calls and so on.
In a similar way, FaceTime will also require,
at some point, time-saving additions that will
speed up the process. Saving your contacts
to a ‘Favourites’ section, for example, may
prove to be useful. To add a Favourite, go to a
contact in your list, select them, and then tap
the ‘Add To Favourites’ option. You will then be asked if you would
like this favourite to be a voice call or FaceTime favourite. A star icon
will appear against their name in the contacts list from now on, and
you’ll also ind them under the ‘Favourites’ shortcut at the bottom of
the screen in your Contacts app.

One of the more useful features of the FaceTime app is its ability to
be used between devices. Not just devices of the same type, either.
While you can easily utilise FaceTime between iPhone and iPhone,
you can also use it between an iPad and iPhone, iPhone and iMac
and iPhone and MacBook.
There are slight diferences in how communication is initiated,
however. The requirement of an Apple ID is constant but, in
addition, you will need a phone number if you want to call an
iPhone. To call an iPad, iPod touch or Mac, you can use an email.
