DELIBERATIONS

REMARKS

Opening:
The meeting commenced by 4:33 pm with an opening
prayer by Engr. Oladimeji Taiwo. The meeting was
Chaired by Engr. Dr. J. O. Daudu, FNSE.
Review of Terms of Reference:
The Chairman asked members to go through the Terms of
Reference of the Committee to see if it was appropriate
or requires referring back to the Branch EXCO for clarity
and amendment.
After much deliberation, it was agreed that the terms of
reference were apt and clear requiring no further
explanation with respect to any grey areas. It was
subsequently adopted by members as a guide line for
effective working of the Committee.
DEVELOPING PLAN OF ACTION
SECRETARIAT OPERATIONS:
The following were agreed by members present as
regards the operations of the Secretariat:
1. All Communications to members will be carried out
by the Secretary of the Committee in full
consultation with the Chairman.
2. Means of Communication shall include Text
messages, Emails using Google Group (NSE Kaduna
Nigerian Content Committee), Phone calls by
Chairman, who promised to offset the cost
involved.
3. The meeting will place at ARMECOs Board Room
every 3rd Tuesday of the Month by 4:00 pm.
The meeting continued by looking at the proposed
activities planned for the year as circulated, in which
there are only Seven months to accomplish these
activities. After much deliberations by members, the
Committee resolved to carry out following activities:
1. After the March 2014 Monthly General Meeting a
soft copy of the The Nigerian Oil and Gas
Industry Content Development Act 2010 shall
be mailed to members emails.
2. April 2014 Monthly General Meeting, A Thirty
Minutes Technical paper on The Nigerian Oil

and Gas Industry Content Development Act

2010 shall be presented by Engr. Dr. Alex Okopi
Momoh, FNSE of Kaduna Polytechnic. Who will shed
more light and discuss extensively on the said act.
3. June 2014 Training on Safety: Level Two
Certification in Oil and Gas Industry shall be
conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian
Institute of Safety Professionals for members.
4. At the End of year activity of the Branch, A talk will
be given by an Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry
with regards to job opportunities, business
opportunities, certifications and operations.
5. Once the Branch website redesign has been
completed, adverts opportunities in Oil and Gas
Industry shall be placed online regularly.
VOTE OF THANKS/CLOSING
Engr. Dr. Alex Okopi Momoh, FNSE thanked the Chairman
for the warm hospitality offered to members and offering
the Companys Board room for all Committee meetings.
He prayed for the success of the Company in the future
which happens to be 46 years old.
Engr. Patrick Nwosibe said the pray by 5:55 pm.
