Conclusion:
Petrographic Analysis showed that the concrete is
relatively high strength concrete (4,000 psi) and some
degree of air-entrained concrete with water/cement
ratio ~0.55-0.60. Concrete density is about 148-149
lbs/ft3 with uniform aggregates (0.75-1.00). Phenol-
phthalein etching did not show any carbonation reac-
tion for these concrete cores, and alkalinity of con-
crete is fine (high pH).
There was a steel rebar in Core#1. Surface examina-
tion of this rebar did not show signs of corrosion. In
summary, this concrete showed to possess proper
compression strength and alkalinity

product for 6 months and have monitored the results
to date. The product has greatly reduced the effer-
vescence effect normally found in our industry. This
effect or mottling as it is termed in the pool industry
has been a major challenge as it inhibits and modifies the
visual surface clarity of our materials with very negative
results. During the curing process we have found a very
elevated PH condition on the surface of the curing mate-
rial. Eco-Crete has the natural ability to lower and main-
tain the PH with the positive effects we have described.
We feel the long term effects and results will continue to
remain positive and look forward to utilizing the Eco-
Crete material in all aspects of the pool construction
