SCHOOL ASSESSMENT PLAN

RATIONALE
School Assessment Plan is a process where teachers,
parents, students and community leaders come together to
analyze the status of their school, set their directions and define
school improvement and monitoring plans which are focused on
improving educational outcomes. It is also a process by which
members of the school-community conduct a thorough evaluation
of their schools educational programming in the previous school
years. A regular review of the school improvement plan is needed
to keep it responsive and relevant to the emerging needs,
challenges and opportunities.
Moreover, schools, in their quest for global competitiveness,
have to undergo a process of continuous improvement to keep
abreast with the demands of the times.
The process of
continuous improvement poses a need to continuously look at the
performance of schools, not only from the inside (from the
perspective of teachers, students and school head) but more
importantly, from the outside (how stakeholders perceive the
schools) , thus involving the whole school community in the
school evaluation of its own performance.
