Mica tape

Arno C-62977 tape is a 6-mil scrim glass cloth backed mica tape with PET film on both
sides. It is designed to meet the specific needs of AC form wound stator coils where
conformability on small coils and resistance to breakage with machine taping are of
prime importance.
Application
Arno C-62977 tapes and wrappers are suggested for use as turn and ground insulation
on AC stator coils, and as insulation for high voltage flexible leads. These products are
compatible with a wide range of dipping and impregnation varnishes (polyester and
epoxy).
Processing
Either hand or machine taping may be used to apply Arno C-62977. Coils should be
processed per the cure cycle suggested for the particular resin or varnish chosen for coil
treatment.
Shelf life
Arno C-62977 tape should exhibit no shelf life limitations when stored for up to 1 year
under normal room temperature conditions of 25 C.
