Instructions for Telemetry-Box Update V1.

To be able to update the Telemetry-Box you must first install the USB driver,
which is located in the Download folder.
Installing the USB driver for the Telemetry-Box
1. Run the file "CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.exe". You will see the following screen. Click on "NEXT".

2. Select "I accept the terms of the license agreement" and click on "NEXT".

3. Click on "NEXT".

4. Click on "INSTALL".

5. The driver installation is complete. Select the field "Launch the CP210x VCP Driver
Installer" and click on "FINISH".

6. Click on "INSTALL". Confirm with "OK" once the installation is successfully completed.

Telemetry-Box Firmware Update

Important note:
It is essential to update the Sound file to your preferred language after you have
updated the firmware.
Note:
Updating the firmware erases all the previous settings.
1. Connect the Telemetry-Box to the PC using the USB lead, and switch it on.
2. Start the file "Robbe_Telemetry_Downloader_V1.1.exe". You will see the following
screen.

3. Select "Port Select-Telemetry-Box" under "Config" in order to define the Telemetry-Box port on the PC. Now click on "OK".

4. Select the "Firmware Download" function under "Tools".

5. The screen now looks like this:

6. To install the new software at this point, select the "Browse" field and mark the frm
firmware file.
Important note:
Ensure that you have selected the correct file format (firmware update = frm
file). Making a mistake here could ruin the device.
It is essential not to disconnect or switch off the device during the update procedure. Under certain circumstances this could ruin the device.

7. Close the field once the installation is successfully completed.

Important note:
It is essential to update the Sound file after you have successfully installed the
firmware update.
The procedure is described on the next page.

Telemetry-Box Sound File Update

1. Run the file "Robbe_Telemetry_Downloader_V1.1.exe". You will see the following
display.

2. Select "Port Select-Telemetry-Box" under "Config" in order to define the port on

the PC to which the Telemetry-Box is connected, then press "OK".

3. Select the "Sound Data Download" function under "Tools".

4. The screen now looks like this:

5. To install the new software at this point, select the "Browse" field and mark the snd
language file in your preferred language.
Important note:
Ensure that you have selected the correct file format (sound update = snd file).
Making a mistake here could ruin the device.
It is essential not to disconnect or switch off the device during the update procedure. Under certain circumstances this could ruin the device.

6. Close the field once the installation is successfully completed.

7. After installation, switch the Telemetry-Box off and disconnect the USB lead. The
new software is now ready for use.

Note:
After the installation it is important to check that the installed language is set in the
Telemetry Box's "Language select" menu.

Description of the new functions

Several sensors have been added to the Telemetry Box menu.
Once you have registered the sensors to the Telemetry Box, you can set the sensorspecific parameters in the "Sensor settings" menu.
- Current sensor, 150 A No. F1678

The current sensor is a multi-sensor; it can be used to measure voltage and battery capacity
as well as current.
Note:
Please observe the safety notes in the instructions supplied with the 150 A current sensor.
- Optical rpm sensor No. F1731
Note:
In the menu of the optical rpm sensor

the number of propeller blades must be
set correctly, otherwise incorrect
values will be displayed.

- Magnetic rpm sensor No. F1732

Note:
In the menu of the magnetic rpm

sensor the reduction ratio must be
set correctly, otherwise incorrect
values will be displayed.
