ASSIGNMENT 1
REFLECTION SHEET 1
Marcela Lpez
Caaverales Internacional

Answer the following questions by writing your answer in the corresponding

boxes:
Try to include observations and reflection that relate to the Course. For example:
In the course so far, I have seen the importance of increasing student-student
interaction. Therefore I have included a number of pair work stages. This is in line with
the development of the C of communication in Coyles 4 Cs and.
1. My lesson aim was: (write your lesson aims in the box below.)
By the end of the lesson, learners will have seen that multiply means to add in an
abbreviated way the number itself a number of times, by classifying objects in groups,
using analysis, combination and conclusion skills.
2. The group I taught was: 3A
Grade & Subject:

3. Before I taught the class, I thought I would be successful because:
I planned the lesson
4. The class was / was not successful because:
It was successful because when I closed the class I asked them what they learned and
some of them told me:
I learned another way to multiply
Now I dont have to be worried to memorise the times tables
Before I did not know we could use skip counting or additions to know the result of a
multiplication
For me their point of view were important because I could discover that the aim of the
class was achieved.
In line with the CLIL course I considered to state the 4 Cs which enhanced my lesson.
One of them is Language because it helps them to model their answers with key
vocabulary and expressions.
At this point, I have reflected that questioning students help them to develop high
thinking skills and that it should be taken into account every time I plan a lesson. I
noticed it because every day they are going beyond and surprise me with new things
that sometimes I dont take into consideration.
5. In feedback with my colleague:
a. Areas of strengths were:

This CLIL activity is engaging and allows students to make connections with
the prior knowledge and how to use it for a new content.
Class management is very good.
b. Areas for consideration were:
Make instructions clearer for the mysteries.
6. If I taught this class again with a similar class, I would change the following
aspects of the lesson:
I would give simpler instructions.
I would designed activities where all my students participate. Like for examples for mind
maps, they would use small white boards.
In the CLIL lesson student-student interaction is important so I would improve this.
