delivery of research projects across a range of topics, for example, climate change, digital
currency,andbankingsupervision.TheHubalsofostersexternalacademiccollaboration,and
publishesresearch,includingthestaffblogBankUnderground.
AdvancedAnalyticsalsoconductsresearchwithamorespecificfocus.Thedivisionworkswith
bothoperationalandanalyticalareastohelpthemexploitnoveldatasetsincludingsocial
media,microdataandothertypesofBigData.Thetechniquesemployedincludemachine
learningandtextmining.Thedivisionalsoworkstoenhancethedataatthedisposalofthe
Bankandthepublic,mergesdatasetsforinternaluse,andworkstomakemoregranulardata
availabletothepublic.

ThisexcitingrolewillprovideresearchassistancetotwodivisionsattheforefrontoftheBank's
AnalyticalExcellenceinitiatives:AdvancedAnalyticsandtheResearchHub.
Thejobholderwillhavetheopportunitytoworkondatapreparation,matching,writingand
maintainingcomputercodeandotherresearchassistanceonavarietyofprojectsanddatasets
spanningtheBank'sresponsibilities.Itisavariedroleandwillgivethejobholderagreat
opportunitytodeveloptheiranalytical,codinganddatamanagementskillsaswellasgood
Banknetwork.

JobRequirements
Essentialcompetencies/skillsfortheroleinclude:
