Size: Typical size 7-8 women’s foot


Materials
1 Skein Lana Grossa Meilenwiet in Pink and 1 skein in Turquoise.
1 set of size #1 DPNs ( or size to obtain Gauge)
Stitch markers and Stitch holders (optional)
Darning needle
Gauge: 7 stitches/in.

Pattern Note: Important: Always K in Knit sts, P in Purl Sts

Pattern:
With MC, CO 64 st. Divide on 3 DPN’s. PM at the beginning of the round to mark the
start of a new round.
Rounds 1-6: With MC, K2, P2.

Round 7 & 8: *With CC-K2, with MC-P2.* Repeat *to *.


Round 9 & 10: *With CC-K2,P2 .* Repeat *to*.
Rounds 11 & 12: *With MC-K2, with CC-P2.* Repeat *to *

Heel:
With MC, K across 32 sts. Put all remaining (instep stitches on a stitch holder). Turn:
Row 1: Sl 1 purlwise, P 31.
Row 2: Turn. *Sl1PW, K1* Repeat * to* to the end of row.
Repeat row 1 & 2 15 times or until there are 16 edge stitches along side of heel flap.

Turn Heel:
Sl1PW Knit 16 SSK, K1. Turn. Sl1PW, P4, P2tog, P1. Turn. Sl1PW, K to 1 st before
the gap, SSK, K1. Turn. Sl1PW, P to 1 stitch before the gap. P2tog, P1. Turn. Continue
in this manner until all the heel stitches have been worked. (Last row is will be a purl
row.) Purl to last 2 sts, P2tog. Turn. Knit across the heel stitches.. There should be 18
stitches remaining on the needle.

Gusset:
With the Right side of the heel flap facing you using the needle containing the heel flap
sts (Needle 1), in MC, pick up 16 stitches along the left heel flap side.
With a new needle (Needle 2) in MC, K2,P2 across instep sts.
With a new needle (Needle 3), in MC, pick up 16 stitches along right side of the heel
flap. Knit 9 stitches off Needle 1 onto Needle 3.

N1: 25 sts (half the heel flap sts, and the right side gusset sts.)
N2: 32 sts (instep stitches in pattern)
N3: 25 sts (left side gusset sts and half the heel flap sts.)

Next round begin Gusset decreases:


Round 1 (Decrease Row): Needle 1: With MC, P1, * K2, P2, *Repeat * to * to last 3
sts. K2tog, P1. Needle 2: Knit across instep in Pattern, (i.e. *K2, P2 with MC.)
Needle 3: , with MC, P1, SSK, K1, *P2,K2 in MC* repeat * to * to end of needle (End
with P1).
Round 2: Needle 1: With MC, P1, *With CC, K2, with MC P2* Repeat * to * to last
stitch. P1 with MC. Needle 2: *With CC, K2, with MC, P2* Repeat * to * to end of
needle. Needle 3: With MC, P1, * with CC, K2, with MC, P2* repeat * to *to end of
needle. (End with P1).
Round 3(Decrease Row): Needle 1 With MC P1, With CC, K2, with MC P2* repeat to
last 3 sts. With CC, K2tog, K2. Needle 2: With CC, K2, with MC, P2 to end of needle.
Needle 3: With CC, K1, SSK, *with MC, P2 in CC K2* repeat * to * to end of Needle.
Round 4: (all Needles) Repeat Round 2 using CC only.
Round 5 (Decrease row): Needle 1: With CC, P1, *K2, P2* repeat * to * to last 3 sts.
P2tog, K1. Needle 2: K2, P2 in Pattern across instep with CC. Needle 3: K1, P2tog,
*K2, P2* Repeat * to * to end of needle.
Round 6: Needle 1: With CC P1,* with MC K2, With CC P2* Repeat * to * last stitch
on N1. K1 with MC. Needle 2: *with MC K2, with CC P2* repeat to end of needle 2.
Needle 3: With MC,K1, *with CCP2, with MC, K2* repeat * to * to end of needle 3..
Round 7 (Decrease round): Needle 1: With CC, P1, *with MC K2, with CC P2.*
Repeat *to * to last 3 sts. P2tog in CC, P1 in CC. Needle 2: *with MC, K2 with CC P2*
repeat * to * to end of needle. Needle 3: with CC, P1, P2tog , *K2 in MC, P2 in CC
*repeat * to * to end of needle.
Round 8: Needle 1 & 2: With MC, P1, *K2, P2 * repeat * to * on Needle 1 and 2:
Needle 3: * with MC P2, K2 to end of needle.
Round 9 (Decrease round): Needle 1: With MC P1, *K2, P2* repeat * to * to last 3 st.
K2tog, P1. Needle 2: With MC, *K2, P2*repeat * to * to end of needle 2.. Needle 3:
P1, SSK, K1, * P2, K2 * repeat *to * to end of needle 3.
Round 10: Needle 1: With MC P1, * with CC, K2, With MC, P2* repeat * to * to last
stitch with MC P1. Needle 2: * with CC K2, with MC P2* repeat * to * to end of needle
2. Needle 3: With MC P1, *with CC K2, with MC P2* repeat * to * to end f needle 3.
Round 11 (Decrease row): Needle 1: P1 in MC, *K2 with CC, P2 with MC* Repeat
*to * to last 3 st. with CC K2tog, K1. Needle 2 *With CC, K2 with MC P2* repeat * to
* to end of needle 2. Needle 3; With CC K1, SSK, *with MC , P2, With CC K2.*

Round 12: Needle 1: With CC P1, * K2, P2 * repeat * to * to last 2 st, K2. Needle 2:
*K2 P2* repeat * to * to end of needle 2. Needle 3: *K2 P2* repeat * to * to end of
Needle 3.
Round 13 (Decrease row): Needle 1: With CC, P1, *K2, P2* repeat * to * to last 3
stitches. P2tog, K1. Needle 2: * K2, P2* repeat * to *to end of Needle 2. Needle 3:
K1, P2tog, P1 *K2, P2 * repat * to * to end of Needle 3.
Round 14: Needle 1: With CC, P1, *with MC, K2 with CC, P2* repeat * to * to last st.
on Needle 1. K1 in MC. Needle 2: *With MC, K2, with CC P2 * Repeat * to * to end
of Needle 2. Needle 3: With MC K1 * with CC P2, With MC, K2 * repeat * to * to end
of Needle 3.
Round 15 (Decrease row): Needle 1: With CC P1, *with MC K2, with CC, P2* repeat
* to * to last 3 st, with CC P2tog, P1. Needle 2: *with MC K2, with CC P2* Repeat *
to * across needle 2. Needle 3: With CC, P1, P2tog, *with MC K2, with CC P2* repeat
* to * to end of needle 3.

You are done with the gusset decreases. However, we still need to decrease 2 stitches
between Needle 2 and needle 3 to make the pattern alternate colors correctly. Complete
the following 2 rows to do this.
Round 16 :Needle 1& 2: With MC P1, *K2, P2 * repeat * to * to end of needle 2.
Needle 3: * P2, K2* repeat * to * to end of needle 3.
Round 17: Needle 1&2: With MC P1, *K2, P2 * repeat * to * to the last 2 sts. on
Needle 2. P2tog. Using Needle 2, P2 tog the next 2 stitches off of needle 3. (Last 2 stitch
on Needle 2 are P2 and the first 2 stitches on Needle 3 are K2) Needle 3: Using Free
needle, *K2, P2* repeat * to * to end of Needle 3. Using Needle 3 P1 St off of Needle 1.

Needle 1: 16 stitches. Starts with K2 and ends the P2.


Needle 2: 32 Stitches. Starts with K2 ends with P2
Needle 3: 16 stitches. Starts with K2, ends with P2

Ready to start the Foot of the sock.


**Round 18 & 19: *with CC, K2, with MC, P2* repeat * to * around all needles
Round 20-21: *With CC, K2, P2 * Repeat * to * around.
Round 22-23: *With MC, K2, with CC, P2* repeat * to * around.
Round 24-25: *With MC, K2, P2* Repeat * to * around.**
Repeat ** to ** (rows 18 to 25) 5 more times.
Repeat rounds 18-24 one time.
Cut the CC yarn leaving a tail to weave in.

Start Toe Decreases:


Round 1: Use MC only, K 1 round.
Round 2: On the Needle 1 Knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1. On Needle 2 K1, SSK, Knit to
last 3 sts, K2tog, K1. On Needle 3, K1 SSK Knit remaining sts.

Repeat Round 1 and 2, 7 times or until you have 36 sts total on all 3 needles.
Repeat round 2 only, 2 more times. Total sts – 28 sts
Knit sts from Needle 1 onto Needle 3.
Cut yarn and leave about 12” for weaving.

With a darning needle weave toe together using the Kitchner stitch.
