Activities:
1. Teacher introduces herself. (Set Induction).
2. Pupils introduce themselves.
3. Pupils listen to a dialogue, Introducing Yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1McPCnixOY
4. Pupils sing the song together.
5. Teacher displays picture cards (things I like to do) using powerpoint presentation and asks her pupils to
identify the activities shown in the cards. Teacher introduces sentence models:
Hello. I am Ahmad. I like to play football.
6. Teacher show a picture card. Pupils say out the sentence.
7. Teacher displays a dialogue chart on the board and drills them to read the dialogue with correct
pronunciation and intonation.
8. Teacher distributes a dialogue card to her pupils. Working in pairs, pupils practising reading the dialogue.
Teacher assists the weaker students as necessary.
9. Working in a group of three, pupils role play the scene using appropriate social greetings.
