Job Purpose
Contribute to Design Integrity by maintaining and developing different design systems,
establishing an integrated design system in the Company to ensure that the seamless
data transfer happens within these design systems.

Technical Content: Apply engineering expertise to contextualize project requirements
within engineering design system parameters.
Apply knowledge of engineering databases and models to manage
project and operations data content; identify and drive data
automation and Standardization opportunities; achieve quality level
improvement targets.
Create and modify corporate design standards driving multibillion$
engineering projects.
Project Management, Engineering and Operations Managers,

Qualification:
Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Minimum 15 Years of experience of which
Minimum 8 Years experience in working as Discipline Engineer
preferably in Piping.
Minimum 7 years of experience in leading the team of
Engineering Design System Administrators
Should have executed minimum 3 major capital projects (1
billion$ plus) in upstream oil and gas projects with respect to
implementation of Engineering Design Systems like PDMS Global,
SPI, AutoCAD, ConstructSim etc.
Principal Accountabilities
Overall:

Advise
project
leadership
on
EDS
technological
options/alternatives, make recommendations that best achieve
project design goals, which recognize and take account of
technical challenges.
Shall advise the project on the information transfer using the
Engineering Design System in different phases of Engineering to
Construction to Pre-commissioning.
Translate project engineering requirements into design systems
functionality to enable creation of 2D and 3D deliverables used
for construction, operations, maintenance and future plant
improvement projects (typical life cycle 2030 years).
Develop, initialize and monitor database structures appropriate
to the project, that adhere to company standards and
procedures.
Architect technology infrastructure to reduce cycle time and cost.
Ensure a productive interface with all other relevant project
databases (e.g. Oracle, Engineering Design Databases, PDMS,
Aveva NetPortal).
Train and Coach EDS/ Specialist Analysts in engineering design
system development and configuration.
Formulate and implement design system process improvements,
particularly with regard to
performance measurement; troubleshoot and resolve complex
technical issues.
Act as department Point of Contact for relevant industry leading
technology trends and innovations; actively support Lessons
Learned activity to constantly improve EDS standards and
guidelines.

Participates in the ITT reviews and gives suggestions for effective

utilization of the 3D System

Creative problem solving in pioneering data management

situations (e.g. integration, simulation, predictive modelling).

Developing & sharing best practices, work processes, system and
tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent
projects.
Working effectively in a matrix organization and handle multiple
reporting relationships and multiple responsibilities.
