Retired from full time employment and providing training in business skills for science and
technology, as an independent consultant.
Final employment, 1979 to 2005
Director of the R&D Management Centre in the School of Engineering at Cranfield University,
which involved initiating and building up a programme of commercial short courses on
business skills for science and technology. Other work included supervising PhD and MSc
students, directing an MSc degree, MSc teaching and examining on a variety of courses. As a
member of the Schools Research Degree Committee, duties included monitoring of PhD
student progress.
