Troubleshooting
Accessing SAP StreamWork system crash log files and sending them for
review iPhone
In the event that you encounter a crash of SAP StreamWork on the iPhone or iPod Touch, you can share
information about the internal errors that resulted in the crash with SAP StreamWork Support so that
the issue can be researched further. Here are the steps for locating the necessary files on Mac OS X,
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows XP, and then sending the files to SAP StreamWork Support for
further analysis.
The first step is to sync your iPhone or iPod Touch with iTunes. During the sync, application crash logs
will be transferred to your computer.
Locating the crash log files-- Mac OS X
Crash logs are in the following folder:
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
Replace ~ with the name of your home folder and <DEVICE_NAME> with the name of your iPhone or
iPod Touch. In the device folder, you will find a .crash file and a .plist file. Archive both files if you want
to sent them to SAP StreamWork Support.
Locating the crash log files-- Windows Vista, Windows 7
These steps apply to both Windows Vista and Windows 7
Crash logs are found in the following folder:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple
computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
Replace <USERNAME> with your login user name. Because the AppData folder is hidden by default, you
will need to first access your personal folder (C:\Users\<USER_NAME>). Click the address bar to display
the Windows folder path (C:\Users\<USER_NAME>), add \AppData and press Enter. After the folder is
revealed, you will be able to follow the rest of the given path to access the folder containing the crash
logs. Archive all files you want to send to SAP StreamWork Support.
Locating the crash log files-- Windows XP
On Windows XP, crash logs are found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple
Computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>
Replace <USERNAME> with your login user name. Because the Application Data folder is hidden by
default, you will need to first access your personal folder (C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>).
4/8/2011
mobile application
Click the address bar to display the Windows folder path (C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>),
add \Application Data, and press Enter. After the folder is revealed, you will be able to follow the
rest of the given path to access the folder containing the crash logs. Archive all files you want to send to
SAP StreamWork Support.
Sending the crash log files to SAP StreamWork Support
Note: Be sure to archive any files you want to send to SAP StreamWork Support.
1. Go to http://www.sapstreamwork.com/help.
2. Under More help options, click Contact support.
3. Attach the archived crash log files, and send them to the address provided.
