What is the PSF GED service

PSF GED is the most immediate way of resolving document storage, research and consultation
problems.
It is an innovative tool that allows for the storage and sharing of all types of documents with third
parties: invoices, transport documents, credit notes, music, and films.....
PSF GED stores them on a common server, thus enabling internet consultation in real time by one
or more persons who you have authorised to use the service, such as for example suppliers,
employees, friends, and colleagues.
PSF GED effectively replaces the ''classic'' paper archive with the virtual management of your
documents, which can be printed or reworked as necessary, without having to wait for them to be
''physically'' in your hands.
No more clutte
and postal problems: thank
s to PSF GED!

Technology
In recent decades the technology has provided businesses with improvement in their performances
and activities in ways never before imagined. One of the most interesting things that have occurred
in this process was scanning documents. I am not talking about to convert a document via a
scanner, or simply write a file in PDF format.

.GED, or Electronic Document Management system is not only archive in electronic format, but
manage all business information in an organized and digital manner
So, what is GED? In short, GED is a set of technologies (Document Imaging (DI), Document
Management (DM), Workflow, COLD/ERM, Forms Processing and Records and information
Management (RMI) that allow this type of documentation management in digital format. The origins
can be distinct media such as paper, microfilm, sound, picture and even files already converted in
digital form.
Why to use this technology? What you see in the market is often a considerable amount of
documents that are originally derived from word processors, spreadsheets, software for
architecture, industrial design software, etc. And the problems arising when there are sometimes
copies of the same document, or a document in multiple versions, things like that. This causes
misuse of disk space, unnecessary costs with storage, and an enormous difficulty to access them.
Adapts to any type of business? Yes. At the beginning, for companies working in certain
branches of business (aviation, engineering, construction, etc.) the evolution of the GED was
fundamental. In this type of organization the documents need to be managed, primarily because
demand frequent revisions. The DM controls access, enabling greater security and assigning logical
locators, for example. However, with the advent of Office Automation, and the large body of
existing electronic documentation nowadays, the DM is perfectly feasible for all other documents,
virtually on almost every type of business.
Normally a scanning process is defined by:
1-Preparation: The documents are ready to be scanned;
2-Scanning: Scanning is made in high-speed scanners;
3-Indexing: Logical Indexes are generated to facilitate access;
4-Classification: The images are reviewed to enable storage in better shape;
5-Provision: the documents are made available for access within the system.
Advantages in using this kind of technology:
Great query speed;
Ease of handling;
Improvement in the safety of archiving;
Reduced costs of archiving;
Infinite Durability;
Cloud Storage Option;
Access to information for more than one user;
Possibility of network access;
Ease of printing even in remote conditions;
Sending documents via e-mail;
Release of physical space in the company.
