Affirmative Action
Affirmative Action is the effort to remedy past treatment of insular minority groups and achieve the social advancement and
eventual equality of these targeted insular minorities. We will be supporting and maintaining current affirmative action policies. However,
currently 8 states do not have Affirmative Action policies. In order to expand its effects, Party Nova plans to incentivize these states to
comply with affirmative action policies by providing a $600 million incentive for them to do so. However, this money will only be
awarded after 4 years and only if the States prove that they have in fact adopted Affirmative Action policies.
Agriculture
Agriculture in the United States is generally well funded, but in many cases small farms are pushed to the wayside and funds are
allocated disproportionately to larger, more commercialized and less humane farms. Party Nova will remedy these issue by providing an
increase of $1 billion to the discretionary portion of the agriculture budget to subsidize small farms. Furthermore, many Americans are
unaware of the multitude of health benefits that come with the consumption of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and are
illogically afraid of GMO product as a result. Party Nova will provide an additional $250 million to the discretionary portion of the
agriculture budget to go toward a large-scale program to educate the public on the benefits of GMOs. Party Nova will simultaneously
enforce stricter labeling codes for GMOs, because we believe that an individual has the right to know what they are eating. Finally, Party
Nova will shift current subsidies away from products such as meat, wheat, and corn and toward organically grown products. Apart from
these changes, Party Nova will maintain the status quo as pertains to the funding of and policies regarding agriculture.
Childcare
Children are the future and to guarantee that the future is bright, Party Nova will be implementing SUPER-Nova. SUPER-Nova
is a comprehensive program dedicated towards providing for both children and parents. It will institute mandatory 12 weeks paid
maternity leave (with smaller companies receiving subsidies to help cover the costs) and require all companies with over 100 employees
contract with a child care organization to provide childcare for their employees, while companies with less than 100 employees will be
given subsidies to help them meet the costs.
Foster Care and Adoption: Party Nova will focus on supporting programs such as Adoption Opportunities, to help expedite the
process with which children are placed into safe, loving homes eliminating discrimination on either side. SUPER-Nova will
require mental health care be provided for youth in foster care, with an average of $5000 per child. It will also set aside 500
million dollars for independence programs, for those who have aged out of the foster care system so that they can continue to get
the support they need to succeed.
Corporate Personhood
Party Nova does not support Corporate Personhood as it is too often used by corporations to discriminate against their employees
or unfairly impact the political system. Because of this Nova will take action against Citizens United through the appointment of Supreme
Court and Federal Justices that will support its repeal. While Nova understands the presentation of a constitutional amendment as an easy
solution to the issue, the reality is that the complexities of the bureaucratic process would make the passing of such an amendment
impossible. By supporting the appointment of judges instead, Nova will be able to better influence the Citizens United Decision and fight
Corporate Personhood.
Cyber Issues
Technology is an integral part of modern life and as such, cyber Security is as well. Party Nova recognizes the need for better cyber
security in the US and will be implementing COMET: Cyber security Overhaul and Maintenance for Ensuring Tech-safety. COMET will
increase the US current spending on cyber security by 5 billion dollars, bringing it up to 24 billion instead. The new budget will be used
more efficiently for R&D to ensure that the United States can defend itself from cyber attacks by countries like Russia and China.
Disability Rights
All people have equal potential for success and society must encourage their potential, instead of blocking it. Party Nova will
reallocate 8% more of the budget to fund better facilities and provide more aid for those who are disabled. The extra funds will also
provide for education that will increase public awareness on disability and provide those who are disabled more awareness of and access
to career and educational opportunities.
Drugs
Party Nova recognizes the realities of drug use in America and is ready to confront those realities head on. Nova will legalize
marijuana and mushrooms in all forms, as these drugs have proven medical uses and can be safely used for recreational purposes. Nova

will also legalize medical LSD, as it has proven beneficial to treat conditions including depression. The spread of diseases like HIV and
Hepatitis C is made even easier buy the dirty needles epidemic. Novas program CEPHEI (Clean needle Exchange Program focusing on
Heroin and other opioids) will create a clean needle exchange system that allows people to anonymously drop off dirty needles and gain
tokens to exchange for clean ones. Party Nova does not promote the opioid epidemic in any way, but understands that dirty needles only
compound the problem. To better combat the opioid problem, Nova will focus on the rehabilitation of addicts and institute better drug
education in schools.
Education
K-12 Education
K-12 education is the foundation of democratic society. Nova will enact its comprehensive education policy: the Sirius A policy. Sirius A
is the brightest star in the sky and Nova wants American education to set new, brighter standards for education around the globe. Sirius A
has 3 parts, enacted to different degrees at the different grade levels:
Consent-Ed:
Too often the concept of consent is left undefined and unaddressed. Starting in elementary school, students will learn what consent means
in terms of ownership of their own bodies, voices, and space. In middle school, consent education will continue with additional focus on
consent in romantic relationships. At the high school level, Consent-Ed will continue with an even more pointed focus on consent in
sexual relationships or encounters.
Sex-Ed:
Abstinence-only sexual education will be abolished and replaced with comprehensive sexual education that covers the wide
variety of options (including abstinence). Education on reproductive biology will begin in elementary school to teach children about their
own bodies and healthy habits. In middle school, this will be combined with curriculum on what sex is and the impact it can have, as well
as sexually transmitted diseases. This curriculum will continue in high school.
Sexual Assault: Sexual Assault is a serious epidemic and one that needs to be addressed through education. Education on sexual
assault will begin in middle school, focusing on what sexual assault is, ways to prevent sexual assault, signs of sexual assault,
and how to get help if one is being sexually abused or has been assaulted. This education will help create a better climate for
reporting sexual assault and reducing its occurrence overall, as well as help to dismantle rape culture.
Health Class Standards:
Mental Health: Education on mental health mental disorders, their treatment, and general mental well being will
destigmatize mental disorders and make students better informed. It will begin in middle school and continue in high school.
Drugs/Alcohol/Cigarettes: The current education on addictive substances in schools will be expanded to include opioids. Opioid
use is continuously growing and earlier awareness of the negative effects of opioid use will help to combat that. The concept of
opioids will be introduced at a basic level in elementary school, and then at a more detailed level in middle and high schools.
Starting in middle school, drug education will also cover how dirty needles can spread diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C.
Common Core: Nova will support Common Core with a focus on growth instead of proficiency but will also reevaluate and revamp
it every 8 years based on the progress it makes. Additionally, Party Nova will support the key provisions of the Every Student Succeeds
Act in order to allow the states to implement Common Core in a more efficient fashion but will also give the Department of Education
federal oversight to ensure that the states enact policies that legitimately keep schools accountable and have justifiable goals.
Low Income School Relief: Because schools are largely funded based on local property taxes, schools in Low-Income areas face strong
disadvantages in terms of funding, and thus, in terms of quality of education. Minorities are largely the victims of such disadvantages. To
help remedy this, Party Nova will identify low-income school districts and allocate federal funds to provide them with additional support
to improve the quality of programs and teachers.
Higher Education: Over the past few decades, college tuition and costs have grown at a faster rate than the federal government has been
able to compensate for, and colleges have become increasingly unaffordable. Party Nova will continue President Obamas efforts to lower
tuition in public colleges in order to help make college more affordable for prospective students.
Energy
The U.S. currently depends on non-renewable energy sources for 98.6% of energy generated, a proportion which is clearly
unsustainable. Party Nova recognizes the necessity of a shift from reliance on non-renewable, environmentally harmful energy sources to
clean, renewable energy. This shift will focus on a variety of energy sources, including but not limited to wind energy, which is not only
sustainable and clean but also domestic, which means its harvest will create jobs for Americans, and solar energy, which is relatively
well-developed and cost effective, at $0.08 per kilowatt and decreasing, significantly less than the average cost of conventional energy,
which is around $0.12 per kilowatt and rising. Party Nova also plans to shift toward the harvest of nuclear energy, which, although
technically non-renewable, is sustainable, generates low pollution, and is cost-effective in the long-term relative to energy sources such as
coal and oil. These changes will limit practices harmful to the environment such as hydraulic fracturing (fracking) and offshore drilling.

Party Nova aims to make the United States 64% reliant on renewable energy sources and 17% reliant on nuclear energy by the
year 2045. Specifically, by 2045 we aim for the United States to have the following energy dependency breakdown: 9% dependent on
petroleum, 4% dependent on coal, 17% dependent on nuclear, 6% dependent on natural gas, 20% dependent on biomass, 24% dependent
on solar, 18% dependent on wind, 1% dependent on hydroelectric, and 1% dependent on geothermal. To do this, we will initially provide
a system of tax breaks and preferences, loans and loan guarantees, and direct grants and investments to incentivize the switch to
alternative, renewable energy, both for households and companies. This is because while switching alternative energy sources often
reduces cost in the long run (for example, for the average homeowner the switch will save approximately $22,000 over 25 years), the
switch itself can be highly expensive and unappealing. The budget necessary to cover these economic incentives totals approximately $82
billion. Party Nova will implement a job-training program for workers put out of a job by the rise of alternative energy, and this is
projected to cost an additional $165 million.
Environmental Sustainability and Other Environmental Issues
Party Nova will enact a robust, multifaceted set of plans to ensure environmental sustainability and protect land from intrusive
human activity. The party will set environmental standards, such as limits on groundwater farms and corporations can pump, and mandate
that requires farmers to plant vegetation that will hold sediment along stream beds and thus prevent detrimental sedimentation. Party Nova
will increase the cap for the Conservation Reserve Program (which subsidizes the land farmers set aside from production use) from 26
million to 45 million acres, and enact a system of federal grants to incentivize farmers to shift from flood irrigation to somewhat more
expensive but significantly more environmentally sound drip irrigation. Party Nova will closely regulate pesticide use and place a 1% tax
on all pesticides. Studies have shown a 1% tax will not significantly affect agricultural output, and will decrease profits by a negligible
0.075%. This tax will not only meet Party Novas environmental goals but also increase the demand for hired labor and thus stimulate the
job market.
Party Nova will increase the federal royalty rate for gas and oil companies. The current federal royalty rate of 12.5% is vastly
outdated, as it has not been updated since 1920. The royalty rate will be increased by 5% each year for the next four years, and by 2020
will reach 22.5%. These relatively aggressive increases to royalty rates promote environmental sustainability and will raise an estimated
$100 million in revenue by the year 2020. Party Nova will also improve the process of preparing Environmental Impact Assessments
(EIAs) and close loopholes in this process using a three-pronged approach consisting of working to eliminate corporate influence in EIAs
and requiring full disclosure of chemical and pollution findings, declaring unlawful the process of splitting projects to avoid EIAs, and
encouraging public input in EIAs via public hearings.
Party Nova will work to decrease the detrimental environmental impacts created by the grid of American infrastructure. To do
this, Party Nova will push a policy which increases the number of toll roads in the United States and thus raises approximately $1 billion
in revenue which can be funneled into road maintenance and the development of alternative modes of transportation. This policy will
incentivize the use of alternative transportation and decrease pollution levels as a result. Party Nova will also fund investigations into
minimum water needs for households at the local level, then increase the rate per gallon of water used by 40 percent for every five
thousand gallons of water a household uses over its minimum water needs. This increased block rate will promote austere household
water conservation practices.
Euthanasia and Death Penalty
Party Nova will ban the death penalty as it is both inhumane and an inefficient use of resources. All people deserve the right to
choose what happens to their bodies and to pick what they feel is the best option. Nova will legalize self-assisted suicide using a policy
based on Oregons Death with Dignity Act. Any legal, mentally competent adult who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness that will
lead to their death within six months, can request life-ending medication and take it under the supervision of a physician.
Guns
Party Nova simply doesnt believe that assault weapons should be in the hands of civilians. As such, we will be placing strict
restrictions on the purchase of Assault Weapons, which place potentially catastrophic amounts of power into the hands of civilians. We
will also be instituting background checks in place to ensure that weapons dont end up in the hands of the mentally ill, criminally
convicted or those on terror watch lists. Party Nova will also be instituting a series of taxes on firearms and ammunition. These taxes will
serve to deter buyers that only plan to resell illegally and create revenue. We will have a 30% Tax on the purchase of firearms, 25% for
the purchase of ammunition and a 3,000 licensing fee for sellers of firearms.
Health Care and Insurance
The Health Care in the United States must be reformed; the system has become inefficient and corrupted by the increasingly
aggressive for-profit attitude of insurance companies. At Party Nova, we believe healthcare should be available and affordable and
because of that are instituting a public option healthcare system: Aurora.

Primary: Aurora will cover all aspects of general health care ranging from preventive care, to emergency care, to mental health
care, and more. Patients will be allotted a certain number of visits based on individual qualifications and after they have used the
allotted visits, can pay for additional services at rates greatly reduced from those currently offered. Vision/Hearing/Oral: Aurora
will provide 1 dental health care visits per year, with additional visits allotted based on specific patient issues. Visual and hearing
exams and treatment will also be covered. Specialists: Aurora will provide patients with the option to see specialists in every
field and will cover diagnostics and treatment.
By providing a government option, Nova will eliminate the fear factor of health care and preserve Americans right to choose what care
they receive and who they receive it from. Aurora, in combination with Novas pharmaceutical policy, will decrease the costs of health
care that Americans face. We believe that when every person has access to the health care they need at prices they can afford, then
America will reach its brightest potential.
Pharmaceutical Costs: One of the largest obstacles to efficient, effective health care in the United States is the rampant
corruption in the pharmaceutical industry. The first step Nova will take in correcting this is making sure Aurora and Medicare
can bargain with pharmaceutical companies. We will ensure that low income seniors as well as people with disabilities, receive
discounts on their medication. Nova will also change sanctions so safe prescription drugs from places such as Canada, can be
imported into the US. To directly combat fraudulence and promote transparency, Nova will prohibit collusion, amplify the
penalties for deception, and require companies to release the accurate results of their clinical trials.
Housing
Party Nova will expand the scope and influence of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), whose mission
is to foster a strong community through the creation of high-quality, affordable homes for all. Party Nova recognizes that for the HUD to
meet its goals a budget of $63 billion is hardly adequate. Party Nova will increase the budget for the HUD to $104 billion, with the goal of
reducing the rate of homelessness in the United States from the current 17.7 per 100,000 people to under 10 per 100,000. $10 billion of
this increase will be allocated in the form of a federal grant to the Federal Housing Administration, a currently self-financed
administration which provides loans for low-income citizens that would generally not qualify for more traditional home mortgage loans,
but is fairly stagnant and slow to expand. Another grant of $20 billion will be provided to the Community Development Block Grant
program, which runs anti-poverty programs, provides affordable housing, and focuses on developing infrastructure in local communities.
A final $11 billion will be allocated to the Housing Choice Voucher program, which aids the elderly, the infirm and disabled, and lowincome individuals and families to afford housing, and in 2016 helped approximately 2.4 million low-income families afford decent
housing in the neighborhood of their choice. While Party Nova applauds the successes of Housing Choice Voucher program, we
recognize that there is much to be done, and an expanded budget will help increase accessibility to housing for all. Party Nova will
enforce the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prohibits discriminatory housing practices.
Immigration
Party Nova plans to maintain the DREAM Act and make President Obamas DACA and DAPA policies the law of the land.
Additionally, we intend to reform the immigration system as a whole. Party Nova will modify the Visa Preference system- turning it into
a 3 category system to make it easier for those of lower socioeconomic status to obtain a Visa (for both the normal and family system)and speeding up the current green card process. Additionally, Party Nova intends to create an attainable Path to Citizenship for the
immigrants who live in our country. We will also shorten the amount of time required to get citizenship to 3 years of life in the US and an
additional 2 years if the first request is denied. Potential citizens will get 3 chances to pass the civics test. Additionally, a 3-strike
punishment system will be put in place for illegal immigration, to prevent any violent offenders from entering the US. We intend to deport
illegal immigrants who committed violent crimes in the US.
Infrastructure
At Party Nova, we recognize the critical role a well-funded, well-developed system of infrastructure plays in the functionality of
a country. Thus, we will increase spending significantly in several underfunded and lacking areas. The infrastructure budget will increase
from the current $250 billion to $375 billion by 2020, and this increase will go to essential projects such as improving the 1 in 4 dams that
are at high risk of failure and present both a safety hazard and a potential electricity and/or water shortage, increasing the efficiency of
public transport to improve daily productivity, and investing in renewable energy to provide a long-term solution to the current energy
crisis. Party Nova recognizes that a key component of infrastructure is job creation, and these policies will also create a projected 2.5
million new jobs by the year 2025. Party Nova will also launch the Aquarius program, which will allocate $2 billion in 2017 and slightly
less each year afterward through 2020 (reflective of the decreasing costs of the plants, and accounting for maintenance costs and inflation)
to install a total of eight desalination plants (2 per year) on the West Coast to provide drought-stricken areas with approximately 50
million gallons of clean drinking water (enough for 300,000 people) per plant per day. This will not only improve the quality of life and
productivity of millions of Americans but will also create a demand for high numbers of new jobs, as each desalination plant requires the
construction of many facilities and miles of pipeline.

Law Enforcement Reform

For too long, the police have unfairly discriminated against people of color. This has created an extremely tense, untrusting
relationship between poor communities of color and the police departments which serve them. Party Nova refuses to allow this unjust
treatment to continue and for further tensions to fester in the community. Party Nova will be instituting the URSA policy. URSA will
require that all officers wear on-body cameras. It will also create required education in the precincts on de-escalation techniques and
understanding the community. As part of this education, all police departments must have a VirTra V-300 virtual reality training system
by 2020. To compensate the costs of the V-300 all departments will be able to apply for grants up to 100,000. In addition to URSA, Nova
will also be supporting the National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice, ending any remaining adherence to the Broken
Windows Initiative, and demilitarizing police forces. Our Department of Justice will aggressively prosecute and bring federal charges
against police officers that shoot unarmed victims and will probe into the Police Departments in major cities like New York and Los
Angeles (among others) in order to learn if and how their practices are discriminatory and unconstitutional and then take direct measures
to remedy them. All in all, we intend to hold police officers and police departments accountable and, by doing so, build a relationship
between communities of color and the police departments that are supposed to serve and protect them.
LGBTQ+
Party Nova is dedicated to protecting all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Nova will pass a Freedom From Discrimination
Act, protecting members of the LGBTQ+ from discrimination. We will take a harsh no tolerance stance on religious freedom laws that
can impact the LGBTQ+ community adversely, ban conversion therapy, and reintroduce the Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act. Party
Nova will also streamline the process to getting legal documents, for transgender people and prevent any state from denying gender
confirmation surgery. Nova will make it illegal for schools to deny a name change and ban gay/trans panic defense in courts. In addition,
Nova will add a third gender option to all federal forms and encourage all states to do the same, in order to better represent those who do
not conform to the gender binary. In order to protect intersex people, Nova will make at birth genital surgery illegal, as those surgeries
have proven to be harmful for those who undergo them.
Mental Health
Mental health is a significant part of the healthcare system that is too often ignored or dismissed. To combat this problem Nova
plans to invest $50 million into mental health centered brain research. We will also improve mental health court (both at the adult and
juvenile level), so there is more emphasis placed on treatment instead of jail time, for nonviolent mentally ill offenders. Because mental
health issues often correlate with homelessness, Nova will support the Homeless Prevention Act. In addition to these reforms, Party Nova
will be launching ORION: a national initiative focusing on suicide prevention.
National Preservation
Nova recognizes the importance of preserving historical developments and national parks. Thus we will continue to support preexisting programs so that organizations like the National Park Service can continue to operate effectively.
Net Neutrality
As part of the commitment to technological progress, Party Nova will also be supporting Net Neutrality; Nova will support the
FCC and the reclassification of ISPS under Title II, and eliminating zero rating.
Prison Reform
Currently, the criminal justice system puts too much focus on punishment and not enough focus on restorative justice and
rehabilitation. To shift this focus, Party Nova will be abolishing private prisons on the federal level and encouraging the states to do the
same. Private prisons have a direct incentive to promote reincarceration and longer periods of incarceration, while forcing prisoners to
live under inhumane conditions. Nova will also improve the quality of prisons by encouraging better screening of prison employees,
better monitoring for sexual assault in prisons, and by separating nonviolent and violent offenders. Another condition Party Nova will
address is that of solitary confinement: Nova will push prisons to reform solitary making it more humane and to use it less often.
Drugs: The current handling of drug offenses is clearly ineffective. We will abolish mandatory minimums on drug convictions,
as these have been shown to disproportionately affect people of color and result in the overcrowding of our prisons. Instead of
treating addiction like a crime, courts will treat it like a disease and focus on rehabilitation.
Juvenile Court: The juvenile court systems will undergo the same changes as the adult court system, but an additional emphasis
will be placed on community based alternatives to detention time, aftercare for youth who have been through the criminal justice
system, and more comprehensive handling of status offenses.

Privacy Rights and NSA Surveillance

Party Nova believes that the actions of the NSA and the authorizations given by the Patriot Act are an ineffective,
unconstitutional and unjustifiable infringement on your rights. We believe that the federal government can keep you safe without
infringing on your Privacy rights in the way the Patriot Act and the NSA does. Giving the government this much access sets a very
dangerous precedent and creates a very dangerous situation if an irresponsible President were to come into power. In fact, there have
already been many instances of misconduct from the federal government with this power. We will repeal the ineffective, unconstitutional
Patriot Act while maintaining measures to keep Americans safe and protect your privacy rights.
Reproductive Rights
Party Nova knows reproductive rights must be protected. Thus, Party Nova will make abortion legal in all trimesters. We will
also make it illegal for clinics to require a 24 hour wait time, forced ultrasounds, or burials as these measures are all used to harass
women. Because many states do not have enough clinics that provide womens healthcare services, Novas VENUS Program will invest
in Planned Parenthood, which covers a wide range of services including family planning and birth control, for the purpose of building
more facilities and expanding care, especially in states where access to care is limited.
Scientific Research
Party Nova values the spirit of scientific curiosity and the progress it promotes. Novas Callisto policy will increase the amount
of money allotted to scientific research (as detailed in the budget and specific subsections of the platform).
Space Research and Exploration: Party Nova will slightly increase the NASA budget to approximately 20 billion dollars to not
only fund space exploration but also to help cover the costs of the development of new technologies which aid in medical
procedures, such as the creation of artificial limbs and cutting-edge LEDs which can reduce the effects of Multiple Sclerosis,
Parkinsons and other debilitating diseases.
Sexual Assault
Sexual assault is an epidemic and rape culture is very much present in the United States. Nova plans to combat this with its
Consent-Ed policies (detailed in the education system) and also by creating a better, nationwide reporting system for victims of sexual
assault the creation of this system will be a continuation of the Bureau of Justice Statistics research into better reporting systems for
sexual assault. By doing this, Party Nova hopes to create a safer environment where less sexual assault occurs and when it does, it is dealt
with in a way that prioritizes the victim.
Workplace: Nova will push for harsher regulations of sexual misconduct in the workplace that hold companies to a higher
standard and focus on the victims safety and comfort.
Social Assistance
Social Assistance is a lifeline for a great number of people in this country. For those who live in Poverty, programs like WIC,
SNAP and Food Assistance are essential. Party Nova understands this and will keep these programs funded in their entirety and continue
these programs so long as we are in office.
Social Security
Retirement security is very important to Americans, both young and old. Party Nova stands firm in the belief that everyone
should be provided for and be able to retire in comfort. As such, Nova will continue to support Social Security, using our revised tax
bracket to fund the program up to 2100. This will ensure the longevity of the program and also increase the benefits that all participants
receive.
Tort Reform
Party Nova believes the enactment of such efforts are a form of Corporate Welfare that shields Corporations from lawsuits and
litigation for potential damages they have caused to workers, consumers or the environment and fervently opposes Tort Reform policies
on that basis.
Unionism
Party Nova has several acts in place to protect workers from any form of discrimination and to ensure wage equity. But, Nova
also recognizes the need for greater regulations of unions in the public and private sector. Every employee has the right to be a part of a
union and Novas regulations will protect union members from any unfair pressures from their companies or the unions themselves.
Veterans

Veterans play an invaluable role in the protection of this country. They place their lives on hold in order to defend our
sovereignty and influence. The VA is supposed to be a means of health-care and relief for our heroes but has developed into an
overcrowded, bureaucratic, administrative mess. Party Nova believes that the current state of disarray within the Department of Veterans
Affairs pays a disservice to millions of veterans nationwide. Rather than replace the VA, Party Nova plans to structurally reform the VA
and eliminate the many efficiencies currently present in the system. (This is because the VA, despite its shortcomings, has many
functioning pieces and a functioning infrastructure) Party Nova will create the Virgo Committee to thoroughly investigate the rampant
fraudulency within the VA. Party Nova will also promote a policy of actively seeking veterans to be hired within the VA (e.g. as crisis
hotline responders), and launch a robust plan to provide for comprehensive job training for veterans. We will also continue the VAs
current plan of providing temporary housing for Wounded Warrior families.
Voter Access
Every citizen has the right to vote and no person or organization can diminish that right. Party Nova will eliminate the voting
restrictions such as Voter ID Laws that disproportionately affect people of color and people at lower socioeconomic felons. Nova also
plans to restore the right to vote of felons five years after they are released from prison, as we believe those who have been incarcerated
have repaid their dues to society and under Novas reformed prison system, will have been sufficiently rehabilitated.
Wages
Wages are a critical issue in the domestic sphere. With so many Americans struggling to make ends meet and provide for
themselves or their families, Party Nova believes that now more than ever, is the time to support them. Therefore Nova will raise the
minimum wage to $12 over a period of 4 years by. Nova will also require that all tipped workers receive a minimum wage of at least
$7.40. This policy will provide workers with greater income stability and boost aggregate demand, which creates overall economic
growth without putting minimum wage workers out of work.
Wage growth has been stagnant for years. This has seen the development of two trends. The first is that Americans are not
getting the wages they deserve despite increases in productivity, the other is that labor force participation rate is rather low. This is
preventing us from reaching true full employment. Party Novas support of unions, increase in the minimum wage and infrastructure jobs
development will be an effective means to help increase confidence in the job market and bring workers back into the workforce.
Wage Equity: Nova will implement an Equal Pay Regardless Act that will penalize wage discrimination based on gender, gender
identity, sexual orientation, age, or race.
Wall Street Regulation
Party Nova believes it is in the best interest of the American people to repeal the Dodd-Frank Act and replace it with a revised
version of the Glass-Steagall Act. Currently, the Dodd-Frank Act creates large amounts of bureaucratic red tape and fails to effectively
separate commercial banking and investment banking. The Glass-Steagall Act effectively kept the two aspects separate for 66 years and
prevented any major economic panics during that time. Under Novas revised version of the Glass-Steagall Act, the clear separation of
investment and commercial banking will lead to more small business growth and less corruption on Wall Street. We will however, keep
one provision of Dodd-Frank: The regulation of derivative funds. This will prevent unnecessary risks for investors and the economy as a
whole.

FOREIGN
China
Party Nova sees China as an important part of our better, brighter future. As China is the United States second largest trading
partner, it is important that both countries succeed so that their citizens can as well. However, Party Nova understands the importance of
counterbalancing Chinas growing global power and its regional dominance. Because Party Nova is entering the Trans-Pacific
Partnership, trade will increase in the region with allied countries, promoting Chinas economic liberalization. Party Nova does not wish
to contain China (it is too large and powerful to do so) but wants to continue our relations on a basis of economic pragmatism. The United
States and China both have a vested interest in improving the environment. Both countries have committed to the Paris Agreement, which
has galvanized global action to build a green, low-carbon, and climate-resilient world. Finally, Party Nova recognizes that Taiwan is
part of China and will continue the One China policy.
Global Health
Party Nova is proud of the prominent role the United States plays with regards to global health issues. The country has
traditionally served as a platform for countries to meet about global health concerns and plan courses of action to tackle pressing global

health issues. Party Nova also realizes the harsh realities of the current global health situation. Each year, 6.6 million children under the
age of five die due to the lack of key resources and accessible vaccines and medicine. Recent outbreaks of viruses such as Zika and Ebola
have not only caused many deaths but also widespread panic. There is an unacceptable lack of family planning/reproductive health
services for women, and the HIV/AIDS pandemic affects many millions of lives around the globe. Concurrently, Party Nova will
prioritize Goal 3 of the UNs 17 Sustainable Development Goals: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. To do
this, Party Nova will double federal funding for global health programs, from the current amount of 10.2 billion dollars to 20.4 billion.
This improved budget is planned to remain constant (scaled for projected inflation) through the year 2020. Party Novas robust global
health budget will go toward a wide variety of programs, including but not limited to global HIV/AIDs prevention and control (especially
for adolescents), family planning/reproductive health programs, and global immunization programs. Improving global health has a
multiplier effect, as it contributes to broader goals such as working against extreme poverty, which is not only moral but aids the
economic development of developing countries, and increasing border stability, which improves national security. Party Nova will
capitalize on this and make global health a priority.
Foreign Aid
The United States plays a leading role around the world in providing Foreign Aid. We give foreign aid for everything from
diplomatic action demanded by geopolitical climate to humanitarian efforts fighting disease in less developed countries. Party Nova
relishes this tradition and aims to expand our foreign aid budget to 53 Billion USD per year. With such increases, we could truly continue
to make a positive impact around the world and spur development, but do it to a much greater extent. We could create new international
priorities such as having a specific push to improve child nutrition before the age of two. For the past 10 years has the global humanitarian
community focused on early nutrition with the World Banks president pushing the issue of the most important period of human
development, minus nine to 24 months, and Party Nova will expand on that issue by partnering with NGOs and other charities to help
provide adequate nutrition for early childhood. A concentrated effort can greatly reduce the number of malnourished children. The aid
that we give generates goodwill for Americans, provides tangible and essential help for other human beings, develops human potential,
and plays a large role in the development of impoverished countries. Foreign Aid gives us the opportunity to take on such humanitarian
undertakings and so much more, which is why we deemed it essential to increase the budget for it.

Human Trafficking
Human Trafficking is an issue that must be addressed promptly, with both empathy and a motivation to protect the rights of all
human beings around the world. Party Nova will reauthorize the Runaway Homeless Youth and Trafficking Prevention Act and enforce
the Business Supply Chain Transparency on Trafficking and Slavery Act. Nova will also fine any company that is unwilling to cooperate
with disclosing supplier ethics $100,000 USD. Nova fully supports TVPA (the federal strategic action plan on services for victims of
human trafficking in the US) and will ensure its continued renewal. Party Nova will push for greater unity among countries in antitrafficking efforts, to bring all countries of the world from a Tier 3 level to a Tier 2 or Tier 1 level, within the next 5 years. To do this
Nova will support the Palermo Protocols and provide higher incentives for countries to move to Tier 1 and 2.
India and Pakistan
Party Nova aims to provide India with monetary aid to improve economic status and reduce Indias horrific slums. To do this,
Party Nova will increase financial assistance through Financial Direct Investments (FDI) to Indian companies looking to improve the
quality of life in the slums of India and protect the environment. Currently, $2 billion dollars are invested through FDIs and Party Nova
will increase that by $150 million dollars a year for four years; priority will be given to programs that reduce childhood hunger, as India
has the highest number of stunted or chronically malnourished children in the world. Party Nova encourages military cooperation with
India, and will continue share military assets and bases to counter an aggressive China.
Pakistan is currently on the brink of success or failure, as terrorism, corruption and negative viewpoints are factors that will
decide whether Pakistan becomes an ally or foe of the United States. Because Pakistan is a major port for terrorists, Party Novas focus
will aim to discourage terrorism in the nation through an America alliance, as Pakistan harbors terrorists for the use of intimidation.
Through federally funded programs, Party Nova will support humanitarian programs backed by anti-corruption organizations to slowly
gain Pakistani trust to sway the country from terrorist tendencies, aiming to solidify Pakistan as an ally. This includes an increase of $70
million dollars a year in FDIs from $2.8 billion dollars, which is contingent on decreasing levels of corruption. Party Nova will continue
drone strikes in the fight against terrorism as they efficiently keep soldiers off the ground and spare American lives, but will reduce the
number of strikes in highly populated areas. Party Nova hopes to work with Pakistan on counter-terrorism efforts.
Finally, Party Nova will make these FDIs contingent on the good behavior of both countries. Militant actions of either state
without direct provocation will result in the immediate reducing of FDIs and other aid. Relaxing the tensions between the two countries

will also continue by incentivizing both nations to declare a pact of peace with the other nation and committing to abstain from the use of
nuclear weapons.
International Court System
In the past, the U.S. has not been affiliated with any international court systems. Party Nova plans to join the International
Court of Justice, also known as The Hague, which handles conflicts between countries and works to provide peaceful solutions in
hopes to avoid consequential military conflict. Becoming involved will allow the United States to return to a position of moral
leadership on a global scale. It would give the United States another way to influence world affairs other than through economics,
diplomacy, and military. In addition, the U.S. would protect itself against outsider attacks without promoting aggression, and would
improve the U.S. international reputation.
Israel and Palestine
Party Nova must mimic the course taken by the United States concerning the organization of Hamas and Fatah. Although both
parties are Palestinian and have ties to Sunni-Muslim contacts, Party Nova must consider Hamas a terrorist organization and we will
not recognize any government including ministers from Hamas. A government including Hamas will trigger a foreign aid cut-off, as
Hamas has not recognized the three principles insisted on by the United States: renunciation of violence, recognition of Israel, and
acceptance of prior international agreements. Israel and Palestine to recognize each other as a state and nation; a two-state solution is
the only acceptable solution.
Latin America
Mexico: Party Nova plans to maintain and expand our strong alliance with Mexico. As our trading partner and neighbor on the southern
border, the United States and Mexico share many goals. Progress for Mexico often means progress for us as well.
Currently, Mexico is facing widespread corruption and violence brought on by the influence of its cartels and certain aspects of
its governmental structure. This reality directly affects the Mexican people and facilitates the existence of the Mexican cartels, which
harm Americans and wreak havoc on our southern border. Previously, the Merida initiative outlined certain goals in order to curtail
this. We will expand the Merida Initiative by replacing it with The Estrella Initiative. The Estrella Initiative is a partnership and
cooperation agreement between the United States and Mexico established to meet the following goals: improving the Mexican judicial
system, establishing rule of law and disrupting the influence and capacity of organized crime operations.
The Merida Initiative set the precedent and the Estrella Initiative will continue that precedent by allocating 500 million dollars
yearly toward the Estrella Initiative. This money will go directly towards our cooperative efforts with the Mexican Government in
curtailing the power and influence of the cartels. It must be used toward judicial reform and organized crime reduction and we will
maintain some oversight to make sure it is used in that way. With Estrella, we create a more stable border, foster relations with our ally
and improve the lives of the Mexican people along with the security of the American people.
Central America: Party Nova intends to maintain current U.S. goals of encouraging an economically integrated Central America that is
fully democratic and provides economic opportunities to its people. In this endeavor, Party Nova supports the U.S.-Central America
Free Trade Agreement, which exchanges 38 billion dollars in trade between our two regions. Through this agreement, we foster
development and economic opportunities for the South American region while also helping the American consumer.
South America: In South America, we will continue to create new connections with specific countries, and foster our friendships and trade
partnerships within the region. Specifically, we will seek to continue our good relations with countries like Chile, Peru, Paraguay and
Ecuador among others. Our approach to Latin America is founded on improving and developing the countries in the region. However,
there is tension when it comes to our relationship with Venezuela. Party Nova is willing to continue trading and being involved in
Venezuela, but we do so seeking to see improvements in the countrys current economic volatility. If we do not see those improvements,
Party Nova may reconsider this relationship with Venezuela. In Colombia, Party Nova looks forward to helping Colombia transition from
conflict towards peace by working within the country, especially in the most conflictive and neglected rural areas where violence, lack of
government presence and lack of economic opportunities exist.
Middle East
Party Novas goals in the Middle East will be to focus on long-term solutions that can ultimately be upheld through diplomacy in
a peaceful Middle East. To achieve this, Party Nova will keep diplomatic relationships with the nations the United States has built as
allies and continue working towards stronger communication with other nations in the region. We will continue drone strikes to target key
military members of terrorist groups that threaten the safety of civilians and US troops, while attempting to limit the number of civilian
casualties by not bombing highly populated areas. Party Nova will only intervene in a country if American lives are at stake, after being
asked for help, or backed by an international organization to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
Syria and Iraq: Party Nova will continue to fight against ISIS in both Syria and Iraq. We will approach this as a not separate but
combined problem set, which is possible from operational standpoint as ISIS is a single organization occupying land of both countries. In
Iraq, Party Nova will cooperate with the Iraqi government. Party Nova will send up to 500 more requested troops to gain back the

territory in the fight for Mosul. Once ISIS has been eradicated from Iraq, Party Nova will encourage UN Peacekeeping Forces to ensure
stability in the region for at least five years.
Syria is more complicated. After defeating ISIS with drone strikes and coalitions forces, we will enact one of Russias peace
proposals for Syria by buttressing recovered territories with support for local governance and local stabilization efforts to ensure gains do
not backslide. The new government will match the creation of a de-facto federal region: a decentralized Syrian state similar to the one
Syrian Kurds attempted to create in March. As Party Nova does not support the brutal dictatorship of Bashar Al-Assad, this is the best
option for peace in the region. Without this agreement, Assad and opposition forces would continue fighting until one side was
completely eliminated for many years, potentially with no end in sight.
Iran: Party Nova will uphold the Iran Deal, which limited Tehran's nuclear capabilities in return for lifting international oil and
financial sanctions. We believe a priority in the region to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons.
Turkey: The alliance with Turkey is a crucial relationship for the sake of intelligence and strategic forces. Turkey is a member of
NATO and has access to crucial strategic routes and military bases in the fight against terrorism. However, Party Nova will continue to
support the Kurdish forces and their allies known as the Syrian Democratic Forces, but it will not be unconditional as Turkey is too
important an ally to lose.
Missile Defense
Missile defense is often mistaken as an aggressive and offensive tactic, when it actually puts the United States in the defensive
position of protector. Missile defense systems prevent mass destruction from enemy attacks and act as deterrents against the launching of
those attacks. To strengthen missile defense, Party Nova will increase funding for defense programs by 500 million dollars. This will
better refine the missile defense systems in place without contributing to any offensive programs and make sure they are kept up to
date.
NATO
Party Nova will continue its membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Continued membership is an assurance the
27 other member countries will continue to support and advance US security interests. NATO helps preserve peace in Europe, specifically
supporting new democracies and protecting Eastern European countries from Russian encroachment. In addition, and most importantly, as
a NATO member the United States has access to military facilities through other NATO nations. Facilities such as the Incirlik Air Base in
Turkey are used through NATO to fight ISIS. Ultimately, NATO provides a multilateral framework for a presence in nations where the
US government wishes to help enhance its military contacts, but where unilateral US military involvement might be politically
contentious.
North and South Korea
Party Novas primary objective is preventing North Korea from creating a usable nuclear weapon and promoting nuclear nonproliferation. Party Nova will incentivize North Korea to take toward fulfillment of the 2005 Joint Statement of the Six-Party Talks,
aimed at verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in a peaceful manner and compliance with international law by committing
to providing $500 million annually if they take concrete and irreversible steps towards denuclearization. If they choose not to
denuclearize, we will continue the extreme economic sanctions set against North Korea for their testing of nuclear weapons and hacking
of US Corporations. All forms of economic assistance that not purely humanitarian will be prohibited, however, as Party Nova can
provide emergency aid in the case of either a natural disaster or extreme famine and will assist NGOs that fight the spread of disease or
improve farming practices. We will continue our military presence in South Korea. Furthermore, Party Nova supports joining the United
Nations in negotiating for non-proliferation agreements. Party Nova will also facilitate diplomatic talks between North and South Korea.
Refugee Policy
Party Novas refugee program seeks to maintain the emotional, physical, and financial safety of the citizens of the United States
of America. The U.S. will take a stand against those who deny individuals basic human rights by providing a safe haven for individuals
who are victims of dire circumstances. Party Nova will maintain the current level of support and structure for the first 85,000 refugees we
accept. Additionally, Party Nova will implement an elective New Start program will provide aid in a manner that is empowering to
refugees and citizens alike. This will allow the number of refugees accepted per year to increase to a goal of 100,000 refugees per year.
New Start allows nonprofits and groups of five Americans (who have been citizens for at least 10 years) to sponsor refugees. Sponsors
will be screened by the Department of Homeland Security before committing to sponsoring refugees for a minimum of a year. The private
sponsorship program will reduce the financial burden on the federal government as private groups will take some of the financial
responsibility. The responsibility of the sponsor includes helping the refugee in ways that are not strictly financial including helping them
find jobs, schools, and social groups and providing emotional support. Because of these features, New Start will increase community
assimilation rates.
Russia

Party Nova will counteract Russias information war and hacking efforts to harm the United States in a two-pronged policy.
First, we will increase cyber security measures for all government sources and counter-hacks for all attacks. Second, we will counter
Russias propaganda by investigating and shifting international focus to Russias human rights abuses, corruption, and undemocratic
practices.
Party Nova also will augment the forums in which the United States, other Western countries, and Russia participate to cooperate
on specific issues, including defeating ISIS and ending human trafficking. These organizations include the Organization for Security and
Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the NATO-Russia Council. However, we will not push for Russias reinstatement into the G-7 (now
G-8) and voting rights in their Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) or remove economic sanctions until they follow
the terms of peace for their illegal occupation of Crimea. The sanctions we and our allies have imposed reduce Russias financing for
energy, defense, and international banking and are a valuable incentive to discourage Russian annexation of foreign lands.
Southeast Asia and the Pacific
While the Philippines have an historical ally in the United States, Party Nova cannot align themselves with the human rights
abuses under President Duterte who has been linked to death squads and started a violent war on drugs that has resulted in the deaths
of thousands of suspected drug dealers and users. Unless the Philippines cease their executions of private citizens without a fair trial,
Party Nova has no choice but to cease all military and police funding assistance, which currently amounts to $1.7 million, so not to be
implicated in these crimes and ending the economic assistance of $19.8 million. Party Nova will reinstate this aid should Duterte call off
his war on drugs.
Terrorism
Currently, the United States main goal in combating terrorism is to degrade and destroy ISIS by liberating areas they control,
destroying their political power in foreign nations, and cutting off their funding; the United States has established partnerships with many
European and Arab states to help achieve this goal. As this policy has been extremely effective-- ISIS has lost over 47% of its land
holdings in Iraq and 20% in Syria since operations began--Party Nova will continue and expand our current policies. Party Nova will also
work to partner with other countries united in the fight against terrorism, including with African countries to block IS West Africa
Provinces trade routes. These partnerships allow the United States to gather more information on the terrorist organization and direct
military actions, using Iraqi and Syrian ground forces, to begin the process of shrinking the area controlled by ISIS in Iran and Syria.
Since the establishment of these partnerships, the United States and coalition forces have used combat aircraft, unmanned aircraft and sealaunched missiles to conduct more that 12,000 strikes against ISIS in Iran and Syria. Party Nova will allocate $560 billion dollars for
overseas operations and $5 billion dollars is dedicated to the use of drones. These strikes have been successful in stopping the
advancement of ISIS by weakening their control of specific areas, cutting off their funding by destroying oil reserves, and beginning
efforts to contain the organization in Mosul, Iraq and Raqqah, Syria. Party Nova will also send troops to Iraq and Syria to train and advise
local forces. As of late 2014, over 23,000 Iraqis have been trained and Party Nova hopes to train 30,000 troops by late 2018.
United Nations
Party Nova aims to continue supporting and abiding by the UN resolutions in hopes of sustaining relations with other foreign
countries, protecting human rights, supporting sustainable development, and providing humanitarian aid to those in need. The UN
provides a framework with a focus on oversight and reforms for greater efficiency and strength. Party Nova also plans to attack the issue
of climate change through the UN. Research initiatives that seek to understand and educate about climate change are globally supported
and have reached many milestones in a short period of time. Multiple regulations have been put into place on how many greenhouse gases
and emissions member nations can emit. The Paris Agreement, through the UN, aims to unite nations in the common effort of limiting
climate change. Continuing research and monitoring can provide those nations that dont yet support the agreement with sufficient
evidence that failure to comply will compromise the health and well being of the planet.
World Trade
Party Nova realizes that mutually beneficial trade is the goal of every trade deal. The economics is clear: trade leaves both
countries better off. Without trade, the US stands to fall behind the rest of the world in growth and lose international influence and
leverage. Furthermore, protectionist trade policies only result in trade wars and force the government to pick winners and losers,
causing specific industries to fail; protectionist policies have the potential to lead to a recession. They also increase prices here at home,
reducing the purchasing power of US citizens and thus, their standard of living. Additionally, Party Nova recognizes a more connected
world is a more peaceful and developed world. Trade develops the economies of less developed countries. With improved economic
development, we also see overall growth and development, the reduction of Human Rights abuses and increased prosperity for these
countries. Trade is the means through which we keep up with the rest of the world, help modernize less developed countries and help the
American consumer here at home.
North Atlanta Trade (NAFTA: United States, Canada, Mexico): Party Nova believes in a pro-trade policy, and NAFTA
eliminates all tariffs and quotas on U.S. to Mexico and Canada. NAFTA is beneficial to the United States, Mexico, and Canada

as it allows the three countries to compete against global manufacturers. It is the largest free trade zone in the world, with 454
million people producing over $17.2 trillion worth of goods and services. As 18.8% of imports come from Canada and 5.6%
from Mexico, repealing NAFTA would be detrimental to the North American economy. Investment in infrastructure will also
improve the flow of goods along the North American corridors. Party Nova will continue NAFTA.
TPP (United States, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam)
TPP will make it easier for American entrepreneurs, farmers, and small business owners to sell their products abroad by
eliminating more than 18,000 taxes and other trade barriers across the other 11 countries in the agreement. The purpose of the
TPP is to promote economic growth, support the creation and retention of jobs, enhance innovation and productivity, raise living
standards, reduce poverty, and promote transparency and good governance, and put in place environmental protections. TPP can
address issues left ineffectively answered by NAFTA, such as intellectual property protection, services trade liberalization, and
treatment of state-owned enterprises. Without this agreement, competitors would be able to have lower labor standards, which
hurts American business and lowers workplace regulations for involved countries. Party Nova will join the TPP.
Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP: United States and European Union)
T-TIP is a high standard trade agreement between the United States and the European Union, which will increase access to
European markets for American goods. The agreement will include provisions on enforcing existing environmental laws and
creating new standards to conserve natural resources, specifically protecting endangered species and key ecosystems while
addressing overfishing and illegal logging. T-TIP will also reduce barriers to cutting-edge environmental technologies and clean
energy and strengthen intellectual property law.

BUDGET
Tax
Party Nova will scale all aspects of the budget proportionally with inflation. Estimates are provided below assuming a 2 percent
inflation rate over the next four years, which is concurrent with recent projections. However, these values are subject to change based on
new inflation data. Monetary values given refer to the fiscal year 2017 unless noted otherwise.
Party Nova will generally enact a progressive income tax plan, based on the idea that the greater the income of a corporation or
individual, the greater proportion of their income they should contribute to government revenue. Party Nova will significantly reform the
current income tax brackets to increase the economic burden of the income tax on the highest earners and decrease this burden on the
lower tax brackets. At Party Nova we believe people in the lowest tax bracket, who are well below the poverty threshold, should not pay
income tax and our tax schedule reflects this. The annual revenue gained from individual federal income tax will increase from the current
1.788 trillion dollars to 2.306 trillion dollars annually.
Party Nova recognizes the issues with the current corporate income tax, and will enact an improved corporate income tax
schedule which will reduce tax pressure on low-income, small corporations schedule while providing 479.3 billion dollars of revenue
annually, up from the current value of 418.7 billion dollars.
Party Nova will further reform taxation in the United States to remove certain harmful deductions and loopholes. While many
deductions, such as additional standard deductions for the blind and elderly, are beneficial and should not be removed, others tend to
benefit the relatively wealthy. Party Nova will remove these harmful deductions, and thus increase the revenue gained from taxation while
making it a more equitable system.
Party Nova is aware of the harmful effects of the capital gains loophole. Currently, the long-term capital gains tax, a tax on the
long-term sale of investments, is significantly lower than the income tax. This tends to benefit the wealthy, as many wealthy individuals
make a majority of their money through investment rather than directly as income, and have the ability to hold on to their investments to
reduce the rate at which they are taxed. The capital gains loophole costs the federal government upwards of 100 billion dollars annually.
Party Nova will work to close the loophole by increasing the capital gains tax on middle and upper earners by 3 percent annually for at
least the next four years. Party Nova will use this relatively moderate yet effective approach because we are aware that too drastic and
rapid a change in the capital gains tax will disincentivize the sale of investments and thus harm the United States economy.
Party Nova will push a 0.13 percent tax on Wall Street speculation, to raise an estimated $56 billion annually. Party Nova will
implement a system of Pigouvian taxation, that is, we will increase the taxes on items harmful to human or environmental health. We will
increase the federal tax on cigarettes from the current $1.01 to $1.54 per pack, increase the federal gasoline tax from 18.4 cents a gallon to
20 cents a gallon and diesel tax from 24.5 to 26.5 cents per gallon, implement a federal sugary drinks tax of 1 cent for 30 ounces of liquid,
and standardize the federal alcohol tax rate at $16.53 per gallon. We will tax recreational drugs at varying. All told, these measures while
disincentivizing the purchase of goods that harm the human body and the environment.

Other revenue raising policies Party Nova will follow include increasing the estate tax and eliminating the loopholes present in
the tax, taxing medicinal drugs, and using a combination of a carbon tax and a cap and trade system (with auctions for larger companiessee environmental sustainability for more details) to generate revenue and decrease carbon footprint.
Finally, Party Nova will increase the Social Security cap on maximum wages from the current $118,500 to $210,000, and
increase the social security portion for both employers and employees to 8.01% to remedy the current Social Security funding shortfall.
