INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR PHOTO APPLICATION FOR
FINAL SEMESTER STUDENTS
This software can be used for providing the student

Minimum Requirements:
Operating System: MS Windows XP (SP3) or above (Genuine).
Important Settings: Set the monitor properties to 1024 by 768 pixels.
Installation of the Software:
For WINDOWS 2000/WINDOWS XP USERS:
Double Click the file Setup.exe. This will open the installation wizard. By
default,

C:\Program Files\Application_Degree Form. Make your selections and Click
the icon for installation.
From the start - programs menu, open the Application_Degree form for
generating Applications. While opening for the first time the user is expected
to input:
1. the Code number of the College, and
2. the Name of the College.
From the next use onwards, the same input will be used as default.
For WINDOWS 2007 USERS:
For installing the software with the WINDOWS 2007 operating system, the
following procedure may be adopted:
Right click the file setup.exe which will display the following window.

Now chose the option properties.

After the selection of this option, you will find a window as shown below:

In the setup properties,

Chose the option compatibility.

In that first tick the check box Run this Program in Compatibility
for: Then select Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

Also tick the check box Run this Program as an Administrator

Then chose the OK button.

Now, double Click the file Setup.exe. This will open the installation wizard. By

Usage of Drop down Menus:

1. Add Branch
This option Add Branch provides facility to add a new branch code and
branch name. First add all the available branches in your institution. The
window for adding a new branch is given in Figure 2.

2. Application Forms:
The file menu contains one drop down menu:

For Final Semester Students

By Clicking Exit, the user can close the Application Form Software.

Selecting the submenu for Final Semester Students, an application can be

generated for a student. Once if an option is selected, for example selecting
the first option, an input window will be opened for For Second, Third, Fourth
& Fifth Year Students. and the window is of the following form:

Now user can input the data of the students for generating applications.
Important points to be noted while inputting the data:

To input the data, the user has to scan the photo or generate the
photograph using digital camera of the students in .jpg format in
width/height in pixels 190x210 of size not exceeding 20KB, and
keep ready for generation of application.
Name alone must be entered in the box provided for name and the
initials of the student must be entered in the box provided for the same
as in the +2 or 10th Standard Statement of Marks.
Date of birth must be selected by dragging and it must also be as given
in +2 or 10th Standard Statement of Marks.
All necessary information has to be inputted as in the input menu
window.

ICONS:

Select the correct photo of the student by clicking the icon

Select Your Photo. After the selection of the photo, it will appear on
the space provided in the input window.
The Save & Print Preview will save the information in the database
and generate an application.
Using the icon Print, the generated application can be printed.

The icon Cancel can be used to cancel the printing and to exit from the
application and go to the input window.

All these icons are shown in the above Figure 4.

2. Edit
This option provides facility to modify the data inputted already for a student.
By clicking this menu, the edit window is opened as in Figure 4.

First select a branch of a student whose data is to be modified and click the
button Submit. This will list out all the students information in the table
provided below. Now move the cursor on the left most column of the table and
select the name of the student and click the Edit button. This will open the
input window again with all inputted old information. Now modify the data,
save and print by following the procedure given for the new input. The Edit
form can be closed using Close button.
4. Abstract
The illustration of this window is shown in Figure 6.

5. Copy Database to CD:
For WINDOWS 2000/WINDOWS XP USERS:
By clicking this menu, the following window is displayed.

Follow the instruction that appears on this window.
For WINDOWS 2007 USERS:

First open C Drive.

Chose the option Organize on the left top on the menu bar.

Select Folders & Search Options

Then select the option View.

Click the option Show hidden files/folders/drives.

After completing the above task, copy the files from the folder
Application located in the following path:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Application_Degree

Important Note:
After completing the entire process, copy the folder in the
path specified in the message window (Figure 7) to 2 CD (RW)
and send the same to

for further process.
