40th Anniversary Party
On Saturday 17th September 2016 Dundrum Arch Club
celebrated its 40th YEAR ANNIVERSARY in style by holding a
gala ball in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun laoghaire, Co. Dublin
to mark this Special occasion.
Over 200 people joined the club on the night for a drink's
reception then dinner, a fun photo booth and an awards show
followed by a disco. We had an amazing time, everyone looked
like film stars. Minister Mary Mitchell O'Connor turned up as
did Minister Shane Ross also former Olympic Winner John
Tracey along with some of the fabulous cast of Fair City . Other
guests included members and their families, volunteers and
founding members, it was a great night to remember .

Laois Arch Club

Laois Arch Club is a very vibrant active club which caters for between 70-80
members at our monthly disco in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise. Every year we
bring a group of approximately 40 of our members for a weekend away and we
also bring some of our members on a day trip.
In 2016 our day trip was to Dublin Zoo. The excitement was catching as we
headed off and we all had a wonderful day exploring all the different areas and
seeing all the animals in the zoo.
The highlight of the day was definitely when we went to have lunch in the
restaurant and some of our members spotted Gerry Creighton, Operations
Manager, who appears on The Zoo TV Series on RTE. They couldnt believe when
he joined our table and chatted to us all about his work.....

The Ardee Arch Club has been on the go since
1985 and meet up in the day centre, main street,
Ardee on a Friday night from 7 to 9 pm. They
have over 30 members that have grown older
with the club and on a Friday night they run
simultaneously various activities such as table
top board games, Disco, and a sponge ball game
that can be played from the sitting position. Lily
Flanagan has been the club contact/Chairperson
for the past 21 years and along with Margaret
and 4 young volunteers ensures the club runs as
smoothly on the night. If you would like to more

The Cavan Area Arch Club has been up and running

since April of this year. With supports from our local
community, staff and direction from the National
Federation of Arch Clubs we are growing fast in our
junior group and our senior group with new
volunteers coming on board . We had a great
Christmas party and look forward to the coming

That first Arch Club was
formed in Dundrum
Dublin.
