Central locking system

There are three lock and alarm function variants:

Variant 1: No central locking, no remote control and no alarm.

The passenger door can be locked from the panel on the driver's side, but the driver's door cannot be locked from the
passenger side. Externally the door has a normal lock cylinder. The driver's side has no motor or lock switch.

Variant 2: Central locking with remote control but no alarm.

The driver's side and passenger side are locked at the same time using central locking, by pressing the remote control.
The doors are unlocked separately by pressing the remote control once (driver's side) or twice (passenger side).

When the doors are locked and unlocked the direction indicators flash to indicate that the vehicle has been
locked/unlocked.

The lock mechanism is driven by electric motors in the driver and passenger doors.

Variant 3: Central locking with remote control and alarm.

The driver's side and passenger side are locked at the same time using central locking, by pressing the remote control.
If an alarm is fitted this is activated at the same time. The doors are unlocked separately by pressing the remote control
once (driver's side) or twice (passenger side). The alarm is deactivated when one of the doors is unlocked.

The following places have alarm sensors:

Driver's door
Passenger door
Luggage compartment hatch
Grille

The alarm also has motion detectors and can detect whether someone is trying to interfere with, or disconnect the
battery. When the vehicle is locked and the alarm is activated, the direction indicators flash. When the alarm is
deactivated the direction indicators do not flash. It is possible to activate the alarm with reduced functionality so that the
motion detectors in the cab remain deactivated. This is used to allow the driver to move about and sleep in the cab.

If the remote control battery is dead it is still possible to open the cab and start the vehicle. The alarm will go off;
however, as soon as the key has been inserted into the ignition lock, turned to the drive position and the key has been
approved by the immobilizer, the alarm will be shut off and it will be possible to start the vehicle.

If the alarm has been triggered the vehicle cannot be started. If that is the case, the alarm control unit transmits
information that prevents the activation of the starter motor, at the same time as the EMS ensures that fuel injection
remains shut off.

If the central locking is activated more than 20 times within 30 seconds, the control unit disconnects power for 30
seconds to protect the motors.

If the truck is involved in a collision, the SRS sends a signal to the central locking control unit to unlock the doors. The
control unit is disabled for 2 minutes when the doors are unlocked in this way. The internal Opening handle has the
same function as using the key lock.

The door lock operation button is located on the door control panel on the drivers side.

The manual drivers door and motor controlled passenger door version
The central locking system is equipped with a control unit and a central locking motor on the passenger side. The
central locking system can only be operated using the door lock operation button on the drivers door.

Function

Door lock operation button function:

Unlock the passenger door only
Lock the passenger door only

The motor controlled driver and passenger door including remote control version
The central locking system is equipped with a control unit, two central locking motors, a remote control and a receiver.
The central locking system can be operated by using the driver or passenger door locks, the remote control or by using
the door lock operation button.
On vehicles built after week 11 2010, the central locking system shall only be activated when the doors and closed.

Function

To open the driver/passenger door from the opposite door, the door must first be unlocked, then locked and finally
unlocked once again within 3 seconds.

Door lock operation button function:

Unlock the passenger door only
Lock both the driver and passenger doors

Remote control function:

The remote control has a range of approx. 15 m
Button 1, right
Press once to unlock the driver's door and switch on the main power switch
Press twice to unlock both the driver and passenger doors

Button 2, left
Press once to lock both doors
Two presses within 5 seconds turns off the main power switch if the vehicle is fitted with such.
