necessary to have an
amplifier where voltage gain varies by not more than 0.1 %
(a) Find the reverse transmission factor of the feedback network used
(b) Find the gain with feedback.

reduction in plate supply voltage for both condition. with and without feedback.

UNIT-3 (MULTISTAGE AMPLIFIERS)


11. Fig. shows a 2-stage RC coupled amplifier. Find the voltage gain of (i)
first stage (ii) second stage and (iii) overall voltage gain.
12. Determine the necessary transformer turn ratio for transferring maximum
power to a 16Ohms load from a source that has an output impedance of 10 k.
Also calculate the
voltage across the external load if the terminal voltage of the source is 10V
r.m.s.
13. A transformer coupling is used in the final stage of a multistage amplifier. If
the output impedance of transistor is 1kand the speaker has a resistance of
10Ohms, find the turn ratio
of the transformer so that maximum power is transferred to the load.
14. Fig. shows a direct coupled two-stage amplifier. Determine (i) d.c.
voltages for both stages (ii) voltage gain of each stage and overall voltage gain.

16. A series fed class A amplifier uses a supply voltage of 10V
and load resistance of 20. The a.c input voltage results in a
base current of 4mA peak. Calculate ( i.) d.c input power (ii).

18. For a class B amplifier providing a 20-V peak signal to a 16- load
(speaker) and a power supply of

21. A parallel resonant circuit has a capacitor of 250pF in one branch and

Find (i) resonant frequency (ii) impedance of the circuit at resonance (iii) Q-
factor of the circuit.
