He coined the term anomie which refers to normlessness or the loss of direction in
a society when social control of individual has become ineffective. As a social
current, anomie results to deviance and even suicide.
Max Weber (1864-1920)
MAX WEBER

understand the behavior of others
Asserted that religion is influential on actions and thoughts of others
Known for verstehen the German word for understanding or insight as a tool for
intellectual work.

Karl Marx (1818-1830)
With Friedrich Engels, they published a very influential book The Communist

the Dialectical Materialism emerged.
He theorized that all societies is moving towards communism an ideal state
(utopia) or classless society.
He was critical with Capitalism an economic system in which the bourgooisie owns
the means of production and the proletariat must sell its labor-time to the capitalist
in order to survive.
