Database Model for Unstructured Data

Management for Managing Student Data

Repository
Abstract

In Most of the educational institutions tracking a student's progress through

the graduate program has been handled separately and disjoint by the

different staff members based on what they oversee. However, as multiple

aspects of the students data must be shared for various tasks, this data is

often shared via email and stored redundantly in excel spreadsheets across

the department. This manner of storage often leads to hardships with

regards to how the data was managed, updated, and shared; when data

needs to be updated, all copies must be updated manually with great care so

that out of date information is not kept and recirculated through the system.

In addition, various governmental and provisional bodies request periodic

surveys to be done on the makeup of the student body. Currently, this is

done by sifting through hundreds of papers for all the students and counting

them manually. With a centralized system, it could potentially take a single

query to count the students on a moments notice.

The objective of this project is to create a database to centrally handle the

information of all the students of an educational institution, and to provide

access to this information with an easy to use web-based interface that can

be accessed by any device with basic html rendering capabilities.

Bulk Data Migration and QC of CAFs in Telecom

Abstract

In telecom department, the mobile SIMs are issued with filling up of

CAF form. CAF forms are maintained in corresponding SSAs of telecom
provider. The SIM issued is valid only for 2 years. If number is not used the
number will be terminated and be re utilized for the next customer. Because
of this CAFs obtained will have duplicate copies. Since CAFs have been
maintained for more than 15 years till now redundancy of data is a biggest
problem with the CAF maintenance. In most telecom department 2 or 3
separate software are running in maintaining of the entire telecom data. So,
duplicate entry and data mismatch often happens.

In order to prevent the above problems prevailing while transfer of bulk

data from one system to another system within Telecom department a middle
level software is implemented to prevent duplication of data or mismatch of
data. While transfer of data from one software to another the data is
migrated using a Bulk data import option software which can convert data as
per software requirement as well as it verifies the data migrated. Hence it
provides a quality control process for BSNL
