Itisuniversallyunderstoodthateachplanethasaprofound
influenceuponthethemesofthehouseitoccupies.Thosepracticing

everyplanetaspectstheoppositehouse,whetherthathouseis
occupiedornot,andinfluencesitjustasstrongly.(Theseancient

therearenoPtolemaicaspectsformedbyUranus,NeptuneorPluto
onthedaythatPaulNewman'ssondied(withinaonedegree
applyingorb).However,natalSaturn,whichaspectsthe5thhouseof
children,the5thlord,andthesignificatorofchildren(Jupiter),is
receivingtheforwardsextileofSaturnonthatdaywithin1degree,
andisthereforepowerfullyactivated.Tohavesuchamajorlife
eventindicatedonlybytheforwardsextiletransitofSaturnisa
clearexampleofjusthowpowerfulthesextilecanbe.

OneconsequenceofSaturn'sspecialaspectsisthatSaturnhasa
specificsetofthematicimpactsuponpeople,dependinguponwhich

PartTwo:Saturn'sHousePlacement
andtheimpactofit'saspects
Weoftenlookattheindividualhousesimpactedbyplanets,whichis
averyusefulendeavor.Butinthisarticle,wearefocusingonthe
themessharedincommonbytwoormoreofthehousesSaturn

FirstHouse:HereSaturnaspectsthe3rdand10thhouses,of
achievementandeffort,makingtheindividualworkharderfor
resultsand/orbechallengedinmarshalingtheirresources,throw
roadblocks(internalandexternal)inthewayofcompletingtasks,
andindicatingthattheytaketheirtasksveryseriously.Theperson
willoftenapproachprojectsbythemselves(i.e.withoutothers'
support).WiththematurationofSaturnatage36,thingswill
proceedwithfewerobstaclesanddelaysafterthatage.

BecausethesehouseinfluencescombinewithSaturn'soccupyingthe
houseofself,theperson'senergymayhaveupsanddowns(akaVata
imbalance),withsensitivitytocold,wind,andmovingtooquickly.

SincetheFirstandTenthHousesarethehousesofsuccessandfame,
asmentionedpreviously,Saturnmaydelayrecognitionandrewards
untillaterinthelife.

IfyouarebornwithSaturnintheFirstHouse,itisimportantto
keepthefaithwithyourself,bepatientwithobstaclesand

SecondHouse:Aspectingthe4thandthe11th,Saturnimpacts

travel,andwhilevisitingorlivinginothercountries.Onemustallow
enoughtimeforjourneys,becarefulwithforeigntransactions,and
watchoneshealth,diet,etc.whenontheroad.

Bothhousesalsorepresentspirituality(the9thhousethemesinclude
gurus,grace,Divineintervention,andpilgrimages,andthe12th
housethemesincludeashrams,meditation,innerjourneys,and
enlightenmentexperiences),andthereforethepursuitofhigher
endeavorsmustbedoneinagroundedfashion,withteacherschosen
consciously,whileatthesametimenotfallingpreytodisbeliefand

The6thand12thhousescanindicatepatternslikeaddiction,health
issues,deepfears,debts,andlosses.Itisveryimportanttohave
healthyliferoutines,toavoidingestinginebriants,andtolivea
