The Center’s mission is to substantially reduce occurrences of
Post-Concussion Syndrome and Second Impact Syndrome
(SIS), a condition that most often occurs in athletes under 21
years of age. Such injuries, which are all too common, can result
in brain swelling, permanent brain damage and, even, death.
