We finally reached their annual appointment with the European Night of Museums.
The City of Rome enthusiastically to this initiative with special opening and un
paid more than 60 cultural spaces, museums, academies, historical building. The
night of Saturday, May 15 citizens and tourists will have an outstanding program
of exhibitions, concerts, shows and conferences, offering something for everyon
e and all ages. Our City is transformed into a single scenario, where the treasu
res of the past offer the limelight with a new artistic production, enriched by
the warmth and enthusiasm of a great turnout. With Night of Museums Rome finds i
tself increasingly alive with the desire to share once again the most beautiful
places and emotions.

On May 15 the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for the second year initiative jo
ins European Night of Museums. "The Night of Museums" is the opportunity to expe
rience the heart of artistic and cultural heritage of our country along with ove
r forty countries in Europe in the exciting atmosphere of a Saturday night of sp
ring. Leave open the state museums in the night time and allows for free use of
the inestimable Italian artistic heritage to those who can not do in normal visi
ting hours and brings a new public art and cultural environment, helping to buil
d that common sense of European that is the true basis for a greater integration
