We finally reached their annual appointment with the European Night of Museums.
The City of Rome enthusiastically to this initiative with special opening and un
paid more than 60 cultural spaces, museums, academies, historical building. The
night of Saturday, May 15 citizens and tourists will have an outstanding program
of exhibitions, concerts, shows and conferences, offering something for everyon
e and all ages. Our City is transformed into a single scenario, where the treasu
res of the past offer the limelight with a new artistic production, enriched by
the warmth and enthusiasm of a great turnout. With Night of Museums Rome finds i
tself increasingly alive with the desire to share once again the most beautiful
places and emotions.

On May 15 the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for the second year initiative jo
ins European Night of Museums. "The Night of Museums" is the opportunity to expe
rience the heart of artistic and cultural heritage of our country along with ove
r forty countries in Europe in the exciting atmosphere of a Saturday night of sp
ring. Leave open the state museums in the night time and allows for free use of
the inestimable Italian artistic heritage to those who can not do in normal visi
ting hours and brings a new public art and cultural environment, helping to buil
d that common sense of European that is the true basis for a greater integration
between our nations. I thank the City of Rome for having acceded in allowing ca
pital to make this event a time of great cultural vitality and transforming muse

Ministry of Heritage and Culture, as guardian of the finds of the excavation of
Italian archaeological missions in Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as it

Venanzo Crocetti The museum houses the works by the sculptor in a span of over
seventy years of creative activity. Are exposed in this structure, ninety sculpt
ures in bronze and marble, two canvas paintings and fifteen drawings and mixed m

Modern museums

opened the only museum in Germany abroad, the Goethe House. A permanent exhibit

Complesso del Vittoriano monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza Venezia Hours

agined a sort of outdoor performance stage to celebrate the history and the prot
agonists of the Italian Risorgimento. The architecture consists of stairs and te
rraces culminating in a bronze chariot, allegories of the unity of the homeland
and citizens' freedoms. NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART IN ANCIENT Palazzo Corsini Via d

aintings, especially the period between the fourteenth and eighteenth centuries,
comes from the private collection was donated to the cardinal Blacks Maria Cors

he current headquarters in 1956. The purpose of the museum is to collect materia
l and traditional folk-popular today is not used as from Italy. It is a comprehe

Jewish Museum of Rome, housed in the complex Synagogue, the testimonies of the J
ewish Community of Rome from all over Europe and escaped the destruction of the

nce the seventeenth century the Jesuit College, had housed the collection of ant

Museums of Villa Borghese
Galleria Borghese Piazzale Borghese Museum Hours 20:00 to 2:00 Keep sculptures,
reliefs and ancient mosaics, paintings and sculptures from the fifteenth to the
eighteenth century. The collection, originally formed by Cardinal Scipione Borgh
ese in the early seventeenth century, houses masterpieces by Antonello da Messin
a, Giovanni Bellini, Raphael, Titian, Correggio, Caravaggio and beautiful sculpt

National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia Piazzale di Villa Giulia, 9 Hours 20:00

Julius III hosted the first discoveries of Falerii Veteres and pre-Roman civiliz
