POLO GROUND

This is usually a rod buried in the ground and tied to a copper cable which work
s by creating a direct path to ground voltage for all contact with her. The grou
nd team leads the voltage lost ground without causing damage to computers connec
ted to it. Existing outlets usually have a third hole in it and that's providing
a little security in case of a short circuit.
Vertical Polo Ground
Is one that is vertical in form and comes down from the electrical distribution
panel, which lets the service provider of energy to the underground part of a co
mmercial or residential area.
Horizontal Polo Ground
It is a grounding that serves the same function as the vertical but, as is horiz
ontal and connects directly wired to the main bar grounding conductor and serves
to directly connect electrical equipment and telecommunications security ground

COMPONENTS OF A grounding rod Copperweld: Your cost depends on the material fact
. Generally this
made of steel and coated with a layer of copper, its length is 3.05 meters and a
diameter of 16 mm. Be buried vertically to a depth of at least 2.4 meters, Copp
erweld rod does not have much contact area, but a considerable length, with whic
h it is possible contact with moist soil layers, thus obtaining a low resistance
value.
Material
The conductive material for grounding shall be as specified in a) and b) below:
a) grounding conductor. Shall be copper. The selected material must be resistant
to any corrosive condition existing in the facility or shall be adequately prot
ected against corrosion. The driver must be solid or wired, insulated, covered,
or bare and must be installed in one go, without seams or joints, with the excep
tion of the busbars that they can be joined. b) Types of protective conductors.
The protective conductor installed with the circuit conductors must be one or mo
re, or a combination of the following: - A driver of copper or other corrosion r
esistant material. This conductor shall be solid or cabling, insulated, covered,
or bare, and as a driver or a busbar of any shape. - Heavy metal pipe, metal pi
pe intermediate metal tube light or heavy metal flexible pipe approved for use.
- The metal roofing trusses and cables. - Cable Trays - Other pipelines specific
ally approved for grounding. c) additional grounding. It will allow the use of a
dditional ground electrodes to increase the size of wire specified protection, b
ut the land should not be used as the only protective conductor
Connection to the electrodes The grounding conductor shall be secured to the fix
ture ground through terminals, pressure connectors, clamps or other suitable mea
ns. No connections should be used depend on soft solder. The grounding clamps mu
st be suitable for the electrode materials and grounding conductor, not to be co
nnected by a single clamp or fitting, more than one driver to the ground electro
de, unless the clamp or fitting is approved for use. It must use one of the meth
ods described in a), b), c) and d) below:
a) A bolt clamp with brass or bronze or malleable cast iron b) A pipe fitting, r
od or other approved device, tapping on the pipe or fitting. c) A clamp made fro
m a strip of sheet metal that has a rigid metal base in contact with the electro
de and a strip of the same material and dimensions that do not shrink during or
after installation d) Other equal. substantial approved means
