SikaCrete -106 F
Wet Spraying Micro Concrete

Product 1-component, unaccelerated, cementitious polymer-modified silica-fume

Description based Micro concrete mortar.
Construction

Applications A high-performance Micro concrete mortar for wet-spray application to concrete,

stone and mortar substrates. Suitable for new construction, repairs and
maintenance work.
Typical applications include:
Structural concrete repair material when repair volumes per areas are large
When dry spraying is not allowed or when dust emission shall be limited
As new construction material replacement
when ready to use concrete cannot be delivered
when large cementitious grouting cannot be carried out (e.g. overhead
applications)
Direct pouring onto horizontal area
Direct pumping onto vertical area into formwork
When high early strength is required
Advantages Ready for use

one-component material

Pumpable consistency

Can be wet sprayed or directly discharged after pumping

Can be trowelled and screeded after application if no accelerator used.

Initial set can be reduced by the addition of Alkali Free accelerator.

Rapid strength development

Excellent adhesion to substrate

Controlled W/C ratio as pre-mixed

Layer Layer Support Condition
Thickness Use
<50 mm None The substrate should be wetted
down prior to application.
>50 mm None Multi layers system. Preliminary layer
shall cure to harden and shall be fully
prewetted prior new layer application.
<150 mm Yes Alkali Free liquid accelerator shall be
added thanks to a liquid dosing unit.
The actual dosage of accelerator shall
be set-up as per actual wet spraying
out-put and required setting time.

Do not extend SikaCrete -106 F with aggregates.

Respect the water / powder ratio.
Surface Preparation Concrete, mortar, stone: surfaces must be clean and free from all traces of
loose material, laitance, oil and grease. Iron, steel: surfaces must be clean and
free from all traces of oil, grease and rust.
The substrate should be wetted down prior to application. When applying over
critical substrates or reinforced concrete damaged by corrosion of the under
lying steel, the use of SikaTop Armatec 110 EpoCem as a bonding agent is
advised

Method of Application SikaCrete -106 F may be applied using any type of wet shotcrete small size
pump that includes worm pump, piston pump.
As the maximal aggregate size is 6 mm please refer to the pump manufacturer
for the determination of the minimum conveying hoses diameter required.
Pre-measure required water quantities as per required flow.
Add into the water the SikaCrete -106 F while stirring until homogenous
mix is achieved.
Pre-wet the spraying equipment line and hopper with water, wash out the

water completely.
Pour into the hopper SikaCrete -106 F
When SikaCrete -106 F is applied by the wet spraying method, the principle
of the equipment set up remains the same as per wet shotcrete application.
For instance, air under pressure shall be introduced at the end of the conveying
line or at the nozzle.
Construction

If SikaCrete -106 F shall be applied with the addition of an Alkali Free Ac-
celerator (e.g. Sigunit L54 AF), the accelerator shall be added through the
air line dispensing hoses.
For further details on application set up, please contact us.
For optimum strengths and performance characteristics the material should be
applied by a skilled nozzleman, and good curing practice should be observed
at all times.
Cleaning Uncured mortar should be removed from tools with water. To clean the spraying
equipment, please refer to equipments manufacturer recommendations
Once cured, the mortar can only be removed mechanically.
