INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

Students can take notes in the LiveBinder. They can post their essays as PDFs or Word Docs. They can
add images and video if they have to do a visual project. It can hold all of their work and it can be
graded without them having to leave their notes because everything is all sorted online.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology
integration you described, using the selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

This resource Is generally applicable to any standard and grade. The only con is that because it is an
electronic notebook, access to technology and the internet is needed. This recourse would be good in
keeping students engaged, because the students would have to take notes and the teacher would
actually read them (there wouldnt be an excuse of messy handwriting or losing notes, etc.). A teacher
can look into their LiveBinder whenever they want, so they can constantly check their current
understanding and, after a lesson, can have evidence of mastery. Group work would also be easy,
because copies would not have to be made, so students should be able to work through However, this is
also something that can be done with things like Google Classrooms or a website, so it would be possible
to transform a lesson without it.
