Moonstone Keep - The seat of Archduke Moergan Markelhay, Moonstone Keep is

an old castle that sits atop a steep-sided hill overlooking Haven.

Haven - Seat of power for the Grand Duchy of Ambria and home to Moonstone
Keep, Haven lies at the northern border of the Southern Frontier where the Wildrush
River, the South River and the Harken River join together and flow towards the
Great Keep.

Threshold - This town on the edge of Pelliohs southern border has seen its fortune rise and fall
periodically over the centuries. Primarily an agricultural town based on barter and trade, Lord
Padraig Kovosar (its ruler) and the gnome money changer Uli Pooly keep a monetary system
afloat with their own coin.

The population of Threshold is predominantly human, with a scattering of dwarven families, and
a handful of individuals of other common races, including a couple elves. Most residents of
Threshold have never traveled past the farmlands of the village. The majority of the population
are farmers, though the walled heart of Threshold employs various craftspeople as well. Trade
along the Old Road and the Wildrush River is infrequent, but the arrival of wagons and ships
causes the townsfolk to excitedly gather in the market square to hear news of the outside world
and to buy new and exotic goods.

Fogor Isle is a section of Threshold over which Lord Padraig Kovosar and Constable Arthol have
limited control during the day and no control over during the night. Consisting mostly of slums,
taverns and shipping warehouses, visitors are cautioned to avoid this part of town.

Of note, within the walled portion of Threshold, weapons are not allowed to be carried on the
person and the casting of arcane spells in public is forbidden.

Not long ago, the town came under siege by Lord Kalarel and the Order of the Ebon Hand bent
upon initiating an undead apocalypse using the dark portal in the nearby ruins of Shadowguard
Keep. During this period, Mendel the Merchant used the crisis as an opportunity to further his
illegal slave trading as leader of the Iron Ring by abducting townfolk from outlying farms. The
Shadowguard was fundamental in reversing the fate of Threshold by defeating both the Order of
the Ebon Hand and the Iron Ring and returning all the abducted townsfolk home.
Throughout Threshold, the Shadowguard are known of as great heroes and receive a 10%
discount on all purchases from townsfolk and on their monthly Cost of Living while here.
