Oracle/PeopleSoft continues to deliver new and enhanced functionality designed to help drive
organizational effectiveness, provide decision support tools to facilitate intelligent business execution
The Fluid User Interface (Fluid UI) is one of the most exciting and revolutionary new features
PeopleSoft has delivered in years. PeopleSoft HCM and ELM plan to continue to deliver self-service
applications that can be used from multiple devices (smartphone, mini-tablet, tablet, laptop/desktop) and
which provide an optimized user experience across different form factors.
Employees no longer need to use a single device to get their job done. The adoption of mobile
technology (smartphones/tablets) has grown exponentially in the last few years, and your employees
expect to be able to do their job from wherever they are. PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface has enabled
PeopleSoft applications to deliver solutions that are optimized for multiple devices. The user experience
is now consistent across different form factors since the applications are fluid, responsive, and adjusts
to the device being used.
This document describes functionality that has been delivered in the following areas:
o Functionality Across Applications
o Absence Management
o Benefits
o Enterprise Learning Management
o ePay
o ePerformance
o Global Payroll
o Global Payroll for Spain
o HelpDesk for Human Resources

Mobile Approvals
This feature comprises two enhancements:
Using the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface, approvers can take Application Workflow Engine (AWE)
actions on select PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) transactions pending their
approval using a smart phone, tablet, or desktop computer. You can use Mobile Approvals to process
the following ELM transactions:
Program registration
Class enrollment
Supplemental learning
Class enrollment
Program registration
Supplemental learning
For each transaction submitted for approval, the system generates an email and sends it to the
appropriate approver. The email contains detailed information about the transaction request. An
approver can take action directly from the email by clicking a link, such as Approve, Deny, or Pushback,
to generate a reply to the request. The email displays requestor comments and approval history. In
addition, if the approver needs further details or information, the email provides a link that enables her to
view the approval request in PIA.
The first time you log in, the Learning Compliance pagelet displays a message indicating that no
personalization options are set up for the pagelet and that you need to set the values for the prompt
fields. Click the Choose Options link to set the filter options for the Learning Compliance pivot grid on
the Choose Options page.
When you save your filter options, the Learning Compliance pagelet displays a graph of the specified
learning compliance information.
Clicking areas on the graph lets you drill down to display additional information.
Mobile Learning
PeopleSoft ELM Users need to be able to access educational content using smartphones or tablets so they can
manage learning items at their own convenience without using a desktop or laptop computer. The Mobile Learning
functionality accessed through the new Learning Center home page is an extension of the existing PeopleSoft ELM
application that has been specifically designed for mobile devices.
From the Learning Center home page, learners can view, manage, and launch learning content from their
smartphones or tablets.

Accessed from the Announcements tile, this page displays a list of your announcements. You can preview the text
of each announcement along with the date on which it was posted and tap an announcement to view its full text.
Accessed from the Current Enrollments tile, this page enables you to view and manage a list of the classes in which
you are currently enrolled.
Accessed from the My Class Schedule tile, this page displays information for your upcoming class sessions and
webcasts in the form of flip cards.
Accessed from the Learning 360 tile, this page enables you to view and manage comprehensive lists of your
courses and programs. This includes not only courses and programs for which you are currently enrolled or
registered, but all courses and programs that have ever been associated with you such as those with Planned,
Dropped, and Completed status.
Sub-Items Integration
In PeopleSoft HCM, when you define sub-items in the content catalog in Job Profile Management (JPM), you create
an association between the sub-item and its parent item. The system uses this association to drive the processing
for the entry of sub-items into a profile. The most common use of sub-items is as sub-competencies for a parent
competency. When you add a competency profile item, you can then add one or more related sub-competencies to
that profile.
Now, with Update Image 13, when you import objectives from PeopleSoft HCM to PeopleSoft ELM, you import both
parent items and sub-items and that parent-child relationship is kept in sync between ELM and HCM. For any
updates made to items and their sub-items in ELM, this relationship information is passed back to HCM to complete
the cycle.
The new Related Objectives group box appears only for objectives imported from PeopleSoft HCM that have related
objectives or sub-items. It lists all the related objectives for the parent objective that you are reviewing. You can use
the Copy Mapped Courses and Copy Mapped Programs check boxes to map courses and programs that are
currently mapped to the parent objective to their related objectives.
The new Populate Related Objectives button enables you to add all the parent objectives related objectives to the
Objectives grid for a course or program.
This enhancement enables learners to launch SCORM and AICC compliant content using the PeopleSoft Fluid User
Interface.
Use this page to access compliant content for a class. The collapsible left panel of this page displays the chapters
and subchapters for the compliant content. The system displays the current status of each chapter and subchapter
that contains compliant content. Click an item in the left panel to display its associated content in the right panel.
For the eProfile Manager Desktop application, two new guided self-service transactions are delivered:
Request Location Change and Request Reporting Change.
For the Human Resources application, duplicate nodes were removed from QUERY_TREE_HR.
For Global Payroll for Spain, a software enhancement was delivered for the Impact on the Severance
Payment Calculation.

PeopleSoft Human Resources Manage Base Benefits is enhanced to enable capturing additional details
of the employees ACA Eligibility Status. The following are the new enhancements:
Employers can capture data to support the Limited Non-Assessment Period for an employee.
When an employee is in a limited non-assessment period, the employer who is an ALE
member is not subject to an assessable payment under section 4980H of the Internal Revenue
Code. Enhancements are made to the ACA Component to track this information at an
employee level.
The ACA Eligibility record structure is modified in accordance with the Time and Labor
enhancements. For more information, see the Time and Labor section.
Global Payroll
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Global Payroll
Element Copy
Element creation is a fundamental and basic activity for PeopleSoft Global Payroll and PeopleSoft
Absence Management. Depending on the type of element you are creating, you are required to define a
wide variety of parameters. The general parameters of all elements, however, tend to follow a standard
Select the element you want to copy and click Get Details. The Source Element Details group box
displays details for the element that you are copying. You can use these details as an easy reference as
you are creating your new element. Use the fields in the Target Element Details group box to define
parameters for the element that you are creating, then click Create to create the new element.

The new administrator approval component enables a Personnel Administrator to review and act on
guided self-service transactions. This component is equivalent to the Monitor Approvals component that
the Personnel Administrator uses to approve other types of transactions.
The new review component enables requestors and reviewers for guided self-service transactions to
review (but not act on) submitted transactions. This component is accessible only through a link in the
email that requestors and reviewers receive.
In HCM 9.2 Update Image 12 for PeopleSoft Payroll for North America, when you select the Status
Indian check box on the Canadian Income Tax Data page for an employee who claims First Nation
Indian status, the Special CIT Status field automatically changes to Exempt (not subject to CIT), and the
new Percent Exempt field appears with a default value of 100 percent. To comply with CRA proration
rules, you can adjust the percentage in the Percent Exempt field to control the employment income to
exempt from income taxes. When you save the record, the Special CIT Status changes to None and the
system uses the value that you entered in the Percent Exempt to calculate the income exempt from
taxes.
Recruiting Solutions
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to Recruiting Solutions.
OFCCP Enhancements
PeopleSoft Recruiting Solutions is providing additional enhancements to enable you to comply with
OFCCP Section 503 Disability Self-Identify Regulations and VEVRAA (Veterans) Self-Identify
Regulations. These enhancements build on the OFCCP functionality that was originally delivered for
Recruiting Solutions in PeopleSoft 9.2 image 7.
Talent Acquisition Manager now captures a history of changes to an applicants disability self-
identification. A new Disability History page shows this data.
Candidate Gateway now includes a site-level option to use a simplified version of the Veteran self-
identification page. Rather than asking applicants for detailed veteran information, you can present
applicants with a shorter page that asks only whether the applicant identifies as belonging to at least
one of the classifications of protected veteran. The simplified page still includes the instructional text
that describes the classifications of protected veteran, but it does not ask which classification(s) the
employee belongs to, nor does it ask for a military discharge date.
Recruiting Solutions
Attachments Enhancements
This enhancement enables both applicants and recruiters to attach cover letters and other types of
attachments directly to a job application.
Options for Candidate Gateway are configured in resume templates. In the resume template, the
resume step settings now include cover letter options. When cover letter options are enabled, the
resume step in the Candidate Gateway guided application gives applicants the ability to upload a cover
letter. The cover letter can be made either required or optional.
To support non-cover letter attachments, there is a new Attachments resume template section. As with
any resume template section, it can be placed on any step or substep within the guided application
process. The resume template also enables you to select a Text Catalog entry to use as instructional
text in the Attachments section.
Applicants continue to have the ability to upload cover letters and attachments outside the context of an
application (on the My Activities page in Candidate Gateway). These attachments are still considered
part of all of the applicants applications.
In Talent Acquisition Manager, users can see whether uploaded attachments apply to all applications or
are specific to a single application. Additionally, a Talent Acquisition Manager user who uploads a new
attachment can specify whether the attachment applies to all applications.
If cover letters are included in a routing, and if an application-specific cover letter exists, the system
includes only the application-specific cover letter. Cover letters that were uploaded outside the context
of an application are included in the routing only if no application-specific cover letter exists.
To support these enhancements, there are small changes to the setup page for Attachment Types.
Because applicants now have two ways to upload attachments, the setup page now includes two
separate settings for entering the maximum number of attachments that the applicant can upload. Also,
Cover Letter is now a distinct attachment processing type that, like resumes, allows at most one
attachment per application.
This feature provides a configuration option to lock Candidate Gateway accounts after a specified
number of failed logon attempts. When this feature is enabled, and an applicant tries to sign on with an
incorrect password, the system displays a message informing the applicant how many attempts remain
before the account is locked. After the final failed attempt, a message advises the applicant that the
account has been locked. The system also sends the applicant this information in an email notification.
The applicant can use the Forgot Password option to obtain a new system-generated password that will
unlock the account.
ePerformance
This section describes delivered new functionality or enhancements that apply to ePerformance.
During the mid-period review, checkpoints maybe skipped or completed prematurely by the manager
and such action cannot be undone. This enhancement enables both managers and administrators to
reopen checkpoints under certain conditions so that necessary updates can be made.
When the system evaluates a checkpoint and it is determined to be reopen-able, the Reopen link
appears under the corresponding checkpoint folder on the left of the screen:
Click the Reopen link to refresh the Checkpoint page, and click the Reopen button displayed on that
page to reopen the current checkpoint. The checkpoint is now available for edits.
The same reopening functionality is available to the Finalize Criteria step (part of the mid-period review)
today.
HR Notifications
You can now use HR Notifications to publish alerts to the Notification Window accessible through in the
PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface header. Delivery methods now consist of various combinations of
sending an announcement, email, and/or notification.
The Guided Process Clone Utility component (GDP_CLONE) enables you to clone existing
guided processes that you can then reconfigure for a different business process.
The Guided Process Summary pagelet (GDP_SUMMARY_PGLT) enables you to start new guided
processes, continue existing guided processes, and view information about existing guided process
instances. Users access this pagelet through dashboards to which it has been added.
The Select Guided Process component (GDP_SELECT_PRCS) enables you to start and continue guided
processes that have OPRID as the only context key field.
Approvals for Delegation of Authority existed only in Classic PIA. HCM Update Image 14 delivers the ability to
approve Delegation of Authority on Mobile devices.
HCM Update Image 14 enables you to approve Delegation of Authority using HTML email.
Human Resources
An Operator field on the CPDF Regulatory Edits USF Edits page to support AND/OR
conditions.
A new component, Cyber Security Speciality USF, to track cyber security codes to enable OPM
and Federal agencies to identify the cyber security workforce, determine baseline capabilities,
examine hiring trends, identify skill gaps, and more effectively recruit, hire, train, develop and
retain an effective cyber security workforce.
The new Cyber Security Speciality field is available in the Position Data and PAR components
to identify the cyber security specialty area of the position or incumbent.
The administrator review page for transactions that update position data now provide an option to let the
system make the updates automatically, and a link to the Position Data component appears along with
the link to the Job Data component.
When the system makes automatic database updates, it inserts a new effective-dated row into the
position data record. The new position data row triggers the update incumbent process, which adds a
corresponding row to the employees job record.
Recruiting Solutions
When an applicant who has provided a secret question uses the Forgot Password option, the applicant
must correctly answer the secret question before a new password is provided. You can configure a
maximum number of secret question attempts after which the account is locked.
This feature also provides a new administrator process for resetting an applicants password and
sending a new system-generated password to the applicants email address. This process unlocks
accounts that were locked after too many failed signon attempts or too many incorrect answers to a
secret question.
This feature uses the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface to render payslip information for small form
factor devices, enabling employees to view payslip information on their smartphones.
The new Payment Summary page provides a brief summary of payslip information. From this page, you
can also access more details for the following payslip information:
Earnings
Deductions
Payment Distribution
Payroll Balances
Absence Balances
Payslip Analytics
ePay
Previously, employees could view Fluid mobile paychecks on tablets (medium form factor) and laptops
and self-service kiosks (large form factor). By expanding the technology to include mobile phones (small
form factor), PeopleSoft Payroll for North America enables you to offer your workforce anytime access
to their own paycheck information and the ability to view real-time information on all form factors.
The Fluid version of paychecks can display the same information as the classic self-service PDF
paycheck, if one exists, or display non-PDF paycheck information on the small form factor Paycheck
Summary page.
The Paycheck Summary page presents a drilldown design, enabling users to access additional pages
with additional pay data details. Drilldown details are as of the selected paycheck and, for some
categories, are year-to-date details.
The small form factor Paycheck Analytics page also enables users to view information for a selected
paycheck in pie chart form. Users can also change the piechart view from a Paycheck view, Earnings
view, and Deductions view of the same paycheck.
When direct deposit masking is selected on the Payroll for NA Installation page, the system masks all
but the last four digits of all direct deposit account numbers in (depending on your configuration) all
direct deposit pages for employees and administrators and on PDF and non-PDF wage statements
(paychecks and pay advices).
A new Direct Deposit Controls page is added where you can set direct deposit bank validations and
automatic email notifications.
When you select validation, the system confirms that the bank selected for direct deposit exists in the
system and is set up to accept direct deposit. For USA, the system validates the bank routing transit
number. For Canada, the system validates the Bank ID, and if the Bank ID is found, the system also
validates the Branch ID. If validation is unsuccessful, the employee cannot save the direct deposit
transaction.
When you select notifications, the system sends a predefined email notification to the employee or
administrator, or to the employee and administrator, depending on the Notification Type selected, each
time an employees direct deposit information is created or updated.
The Time and Labor Administrator defines the auto enrollment rules using the job and other attributes
using which the Auto Enrollment framework define the selection criteria which determine what kind of
time reporter an employee is.
The Time and Labor Auto Enrollment Analytics enable administrators or managers to quickly analyze
the time enrollments and select the transactions that they wish to load to the base tables. The frequency
of time reporter data changes can be real-time or scheduled in a batch process based on the
configurable option chosen.

U.S. Affordable Care Act - Consent Processing
PeopleSoft HCM eBenefits is enhanced to enable employers to obtain affirmative consent from employees to furnish
Form 1095-C in an electronic format. Employees can also view the Consent Status report, and review and reset the
Consent Status page.
The Fluid User Interface for using the Consent Process on mobile devices.
Group Build (045) enables organizations to use groups of employees created using the
Group Build framework.
Matrix Team (046) enables organizations to use employee team that are created using the
Matrix Team feature.
The Request Reporting Change transaction now supports position data changes. The transaction flow is
the same as for the other transactions that introduced position data support in image 14.
If the Reports To field is configured to be visible in a transaction, a new Manager Name field automatically
appears on the transaction and approval pages as well. The Report To field displays the position to which
the employee reports, while the Manager Name field displays the name of the person in that position.
A new Last Date Worked field is available for transactions. This field is used so that a manager can enter
an employees actual last work day (if different from the transaction date). This field is not visible in any of
the delivered transactions, but depending on your business practices, you might make it visible for the
Terminate and Retire transactions.
It is now easier for users to look up values for various guided self-service fields because additional fields
have been added to some lookup pages.
The Workforce Administration home page is a central location from which an administrator can manage payroll
operations. The tiles and associated pages of the Workforce Administration home page enable payroll
administrators to:

The Japan Government announces the new legislation to create an ID number system which is used in
administrative procedures in Japan. The My Number system is intended to effectively identify
information about individuals that is collected and retained separately by multiple government
organizations and to enhance the efficiency and fairness of the administration of taxation and social
welfare in Japan.
Benefits
U.S. Affordable Care Act Safe Harbor Codes and Safe Harbor Relief Groups
PeopleSoft HCM Human Resources Manage Base Benefits delivers ACA Safe Harbor Codes (from
Code Series 2 Section 4980H Safe Harbor Codes and Other Relief for Employers) which provide the
IRS with information used to administer the employer shared responsibility provisions of the Affordable
Care Act. There are nine Safe Harbor codes (2A 2I); four of these codes (2E, 2F, 2G, and 2H) are
classified as Safe Harbor Relief Groups. The Safe Harbor Relief Groups component enables the
employer to identify the employee population that belongs to each of the code 2E, 2F, 2G, and 2H
groups on a monthly basis.
On the Request Ad-Hoc Salary Change and Promote Employee transactions, the My Analytics tab gives
users access to the Simplified Analytics capabilities provided by PeopleTools. User can create and save
pivot grids that provide contextual information for a transaction. For example, analytics related to salary
and compa ratio can provide important information for salary change transactions.
The Related Information tab gives users access to the same decision support content that earlier versions
of PeopleTools displayed in a dedicated Decision Support panel. Now that the decision support appears in
the Related Content panel, it is available on all of the guided self-service transaction pages rather than
only on the Questionnaire page.
Benefits
U.S. Affordable Care Act - Data Extraction, Merge, Transmittal and Form 1095-C Printing
PeopleSoft HCM Human Resources Manage Base Benefits is enhanced to enable employers who are ALE
Members to comply with the Affordable Care Act. The Affordable Care Act requires each ALE Member to file with
the Internal Revenue Service Form 1094-C (Transmittal of Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage
Information Returns), and Form 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage) for each of its
full-time employees.
PeopleSoft HCM HR Manage Base Benefits product is now enhanced to support the filing of Forms 1094-C and
1095-C. This process involves data tracking, annual data setup, data loading, reviews/updates, merging other
source data, electronic transmittal and form printing. These tasks can generally be grouped into three areas:
Form filing/transmittal
Most of the data required by the Forms 1094-C and 1095-C is available in the PeopleSoft system. The data
extraction process loads each employees 1095-C data onto a page for administrator to review and modify before
the forms are finalized to be transmitted and printed. Some fields are extracted directly from the PeopleSoft data
source, while some fields are derived based on rules defined in the Data Extract Definition. PeopleSoft also allows
you to upload employees form data, if processed by a third party, using the Excel-CI Load feature.

Print Application
Talent Acquisition Manager includes several enhancements to the Application Details report.
The enhanced report now includes two additional types of application information: questionnaire answers and file
attachments. Attachments are appended to the report PDF with optional separator pages to identify the attachment
type.
Recruiters and hiring managers can now choose which types of information to include in the report. When a user
invokes the Print Application action, a new Application Report Options page lists the application sections that can be
included, indicates which sections have content, and allows the user to select specific sections to include. The user
can also choose to automatically exclude any section that does not contain information.
The new sections and the ability to choose which sections to print are also available for the group printing action.
The group printing action additionally lets users choose whether to generate a single PDF or separate PDFs for
each application. Also, the group printing action now uses the same PeopleSoft BI report as the individually printed
applications rather than a separate SQR report.
Information accessible from a single Profile page on small form factor devices.
Elimination of multiple hotspots close to each other to avoid tapping the wrong item.
Guided Self-Service
If you use PeopleTools 8.55 or later, guided self-service transactions are now rendered using the Activity Guide
framework from PeopleTools. The system uses the same configuration pages to control what is included in the
transaction, but the end-user experience now conforms to the common activity guide pattern. For example, the Next
and Previous buttons have moved up to the page header.
This update image also enhances the configuration options for guided self-service. You can now configure
transactions with different settings for different regulatory regions. And when you allow end-users to select a
transactions action reason, you can now choose which action reasons are available for the end user to select.
Element Browser
The Global Payroll Element Browser enables you to browse elements by country. It presents consolidated details for
each element including the relationships between it and other elements. You can use it to browse elements for
Global Payroll Core, Absence Management, and all Global Payroll Country Extensions.
The Element Browser provides an easy way to navigate the elements associated with a particular country. In
addition, it serves as a learning tool by providing quick access to detailed information on elements associated with a
particular feature or country extension.
eSocial Reporting
eSocial is a nationwide program that is led by the Brazilian Government to streamline the transmission of HR and
payroll-related information from companies doing business in Brazil to the Government in a centralized framework.
In this image, Global Payroll for Brazil delivers a list of setup pages in preparation for the implementation of eSocial.
