Pre interview statement: Thank you for your interest in the African Peoples
Socialist Party. We appreciate your interest. I would like to tell you about some of
the organizations in the Uhuru Movement. We have the International Peoples
Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) which is our mass organization that
requires unity with the RNDP. InPDUM does mass work on issues affecting the
African world. Then we have the All African Peoples Development and
Empowerment Project, which does development work such as clean water
projects, particularly in Africa. We also are part of the Black is Back Coalition
which is a coalition of different organizations that concentrates its work on
fighting against the wars carried out by the capitalist against the worlds
oppressed people including against Africans in the U.S.
Im going to ask you some questions to get an idea whether the Party is the
right organization for you. The APSP is a revolutionary Party and we are looking
for the best sons and daughters of Africa. What that means is the people who
have the potential to be the most disciplined, dedicated, and loyal forces. The
questions are meant to help us understand some things about you and your
background. The information will only be used to help us determine whether the
Party is the right organization for you. This is only an initial assessment and
other steps will have to be completed to actually become a member of the APSP.

STEP 2 - The Study Guide


The second step in this process is for you to complete the APSP study guide. The
study guide consists of the APSP constitution, rules of Party discipline, some basic
information on the organizational principle of democratic centralism and other
documents relevant to Party membership.

STEP 3 The APSP Study Guide questionnaire

There is a questionnaire at the end of the study guide that must be completed and
returned to us. The study guide is a self-study document that we need read and
completed within five days. On day 3 we will follow up with you and check on your
progress toward completing the document. During the course of reading the study
guide please feel free to call to seek clarity to any questions you may need
answered. The questionnaire is related to the study guide materials, so all your
answers are contained in the study guide reading material.
STEP 4 The Party Application
The study guide questionnaire is not the Party application. We will set up an interview
with you to determine whether you should get the application for membership.

Narrative from Follow up With Contact

The narrative is part of the review committee assessment and recommendation process. This area will be
completed during or following the review committee assessment and discussion of the contact. A
recommendation from the committee will be issued. The Narrative will be completed by the interviewer or
a designee of the review committee.

Comrade Michael McNabb is a martial artist who works at an attorneys office in New York.
He feels that he has to do something to change the situation for African people. He
expressed that he believes it is time to join an organization. He has never belonged to an
organization before.
