It's time to think Green!
Hello Oxford,
This is Marv Stone, owner of Stones Ace Hard-
ware and Paint of Oxford.
Here are couple of tips for keeping a great lawn.
In the spring it's a good idea to use a four step
Scotts lawn care program. It will save you money
to purchase all four steps at one time while on
sale. It starts by applying Step One which in-
cludes a fertilizer along with a crabgrass
preventer. Apply at or before Easter.
Step Two should be applied near Memorial
Day, 4 to 6 weeks after Step One. It is fertilizer
with weed killer. Apply to a wet lawn with no
rain for 24 hours. It is absorbed through the
leaves of weeds so don't wash it off.
Step Three should be applied around Indepen-
dence Day. Again, four to six weeks from Step
Two. It contains fertilizer with 2% iron. This will
feed and add green to your grass.
Step Four should be applied after Labor Day.
It will again feed the lawn and prepare it for
winter and strong spring growth.
There you have it. An easy to use program that
gives you a beautiful lawn that you will love to
show off to your neighbors. A healthy lawn gen-
erally takes care of itself. If your grass plants
are well fed and strong they resist disease, weeds,
drought and look great. We can also help when

Randy Wise Ford-Ortonville continues to
grow. Since 2004 Randy Wise Ford-
Ortonville has served the community and is
now become northern Oakland and southern
Genesee counties destination for new and
pre-owned vehicles.
Earlier this year Randy Wise Ford-
Ortonville opened a pre-owned vehicle fa-
cility, 830 S. Ortonville Road. The two-acre
parcel, just north of Wolfe Road features
about 70-80 pre-owned vehicles.
The expansion is a reflection of our com-
mitment to the community, said Joe Greene,
manager. The additional sales area also frees
up space for a greater selection of new cars
at the main dealership.
Opening the pre-owned facility last month
is the second expansion since 2013 for Randy
Wise Ford-Ortonville.
A 20,000 square feet state-of-the art show-
room and service area at 986 S. Ortonville
Road just south of the pre-owned facility pro-
vided room for a vast selection of cars and
trucks.
