Please follow the structure of this template when preparing your proposal.
It has been designed to ensure that the important aspects of your planned work are presented
in a way that will enable the experts to make an effective assessment against the evaluation
criteria.

1. Proposal

1.1 Title of Proposal

Max 200 characters (with spaces). Must be understandable for non-specialists in your field.

1.2 Abstract

Short summary (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces) to clearly explain:


the objectives of the proposal
how they will be achieved
Expected results
Target group
It will be used as the short description of the proposal in the evaluation process

1.3 Description of the problem (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces)

Describe the problem and its causes. What is the needs and target group that this project is
addressing? Please describe the current situation and how the project aims to change it.

1.4 Objectives (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces)

Describe the specific objectives for the proposal, which should be clear, measurable,
realistic and achievable within the duration of the project.
What change is expected?

1.5 Relation to microfinance (max 1,500 characters, with spaces)

The proposal must use microfinance as a tool to solve or at least mitigate the problem.
Indicate which aspects of microfinance are highlighted and why. Also, please indicate the
role of the National Body for Microcredit in a project stemming from the proposal.

1.6 Relation to a European policy (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces)

Indicate the European policy/ies to which your proposal relates, and explain how your
proposal addresses the specific challenge and scope of that policy, as set out in the work
programme.

1.7 Concept and methodology (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces)

(a) Concept
Describe and explain the overall concept underpinning the project. Describe the main
ideas, models or assumptions involved.
If any, describe national or international research and innovation activities which will be
linked with the project,
(b) Methodology
Describe and explain the overall methodology you intend to apply in your project. Please
also provide detailed information about the project activities.

1.8 Expected impacts (max. 2,000 characters, with spaces)

Please be specific, and provide only information that applies to the proposal and its
objectives.
Wherever possible, use quantified indicators and targets.

Describe the expected impact on the participants, partecipating organisations, target groups
and other relevant stakeholders (at local/national and international level)

Please also describe how your project will contribute to:


o any substantial impacts that would enhance innovation capacity, create new market
opportunities, strengthen competitiveness and growth of companies.
Describe any barriers/obstacles, and any framework conditions (such as regulation,
standards, public acceptance, workforce considerations, financing of follow-up steps,
cooperation of other links in the value chain), that may determine whether and to what
extent the expected impacts will be achieved.
